Grew up on a farm 8 miles from a small town called Lake City. There is no lake in or around Lake City.

In a sport where we routinely breath race gas fumes, dust and firework smoke inside of enclosed stadiums I’m not sure the air quality is necessarily the biggest concern. I do wonder about the water trucks for the track though, they going to be able to lay thousands of gallons on the track like usual?

They postponed the Hockey Game (Flames at Kings - Which is a weird coincidence of team name) They postponed the Basketball Game (Hornets at Lakers) They have a plan to move the NFL game to Arizona (MNF Vikings at Rams) - Sofi is technically an open-air stadium with a cover over it. Yes, the fires are far away from the stadium, but the smoke that we are breathing from it is much more toxic than a standard hills fire. I’m currently a stones throw from the stadium in Anaheim. Slight smell of smoke in the air and the sky to the west is pretty gray. Other than that blue sky over the stadium

According to steve matthes on the pulpmx podcast levi kitchen called over to star racing on the phone to ask which coast haiden was going to be racing on, they told him west coast, and he said sounds good Ill see you there…. Honestly it shouldn't affect the race, unless the wind goes low and directly Southeast. Anaheim stadium is 28 miles away from the Eaton fire, 40 miles away from the Palisades fire, and 50 from the Hurst fire.

In San Clemente you can smell the smoke to some extent as of Wednesday at 1PM. For reference if you are not from the area, that is about 30 miles South of Angel Stadium. The closest fire is another 30 miles or so North of Angel Stadium. I don't foresee any possible world where the fire makes it anywhere close to the Stadium, the bigger issue is power grids being turned off in certain areas, and also smoke in the air. I would think by Thursday evening or Friday that the smoke has more or less cleared from the area.
