AKW well we know you’re uuuhh . “Controversial“ in here 😄 which is fine but it seems you have at least 1 serial downvoter who hits the thumbs down button no matter what you post because seriously who gives a fuck if you used to surf in San Clemente. Lol

Haha, yeah, I've got like 6-7 people who follow me from thread to thread down voting everything I post. It's super obvious who they are but if downvoting makes them feel like they're part of the big kid club, then have at it.

Speaking of San Clemente, you ever eat at Sancho's? Last time we went down to SD to chill with family we stopped in for breakfast burritos and fell in love.

We eat at Sanchos all the time, the chubby sauce is on point !   We're right around the corner from a little Mexican place called El Jefe's, (next to Rite Aid) we go there quite a bit cause it's about an 8 minute walk.  Sounds odd for a Mexican place but they have killer fish and chips. Years ago it was a seafood place called Moby Dicks and they've kept them on the menu even through multiple new owners. It's the most "Mexican feeling" Mexican restaurant in town. If you like fancy don't bother, if you want to feel like you're in Baja ?  check it out ! 😉 In fact I think were walking over there tonight for a bucket of ice cold Pacificos and chicken quesadillas 😋

Used to have a great track just outside Stratford that we used to race on, but it’s sadly gone now.

I rented a narrow boat in Northampton Marina and stopped at Warwickshire and checked out the castle. Best vacation I ever took. Beautiful countryside. I want to do it again when I can.

I've been to El Jefe! Next time I'll have to try the fish and chips.

Sounds like you've got a killer night lined up, enjoy!

Well howdy, neighbor!

I grew up in the triangle between Poway, Ramona, and Lakeside.

Barona reservation?

EDIT: Or, maybe Mussey Grade Road?

Technically it was within the Poway borders, but yeah very very close to that edge.

Spent so much time building tracks and riding in those hills before all the houses started popping up. There used to be a wild bull that you'd run into every once in a blue moon. You'd go around every blind corner fearing it was there and that odd time it was, you were fully justified in feeling that fear.

Were you out where Tony Gwynn lived, or were you further out than that? I remember him being pretty close the end of Poway city limits. Always wanted to ride out there, but never got the chance to.

If I remember correctly his house was more over towards Poway Lake (in one of those gated communities).

I grew up in the area around where Poway Road and the 67 met.

24665 Moon Ave, Lomita...the house had no garage so the bikes were kept and maintained in the kitchen.

Redondo Beach was my favorite hangout.

Hell I'm curious, why go back to SA? I know several South Africans (mostly moto guys but a couple in my work) and not a single one of them has every mentioned going back. It's the exact opposite. Even with family there they don't wont to go back.
