Prado is capable of winning it all.

Fading during your first season of SX is somewhat understandable, I can’t remember exactly where but JT said in a podcast last year “Prado is one of the fittest guys out there”. This was last year but I’d venture to say his fitness hasn’t exactly gotten worse over the last year

Prolly the 4 world championships in MX. At least that’s what I’m thinking.

Other than last year, how often have you watched Prado? Zero chance. Even in his GP years he wasn’t known at first for being able to come through the pack but he got much better at it.

Zero chance he is outside the top 5 unless he has crashes.

Have you watched his riding? Haven’t you seen him showing at times, very clearly top 3 speed? Wouldn’t you think that’s insane considering he has what 1-3 years sx experience compared to the guys with 5-20 years sx experience he’s against. There’s kids in sx futures who have spent more time on supercross than Prado and he’s qualified fastest more than once, won some heat races, led some laps, and at time shown elite speed. What else do you have to see?

1 point ahead? Prado has been sitting out 3 races and -3 points due to a sound test... But he rode good, passed a factory Kawasaki rider in the last race.

Prado always been a pretty bud mud/rain Rider. Remenber 2024 mxgp season race with rain... Cleveland are his comon result in that type of races.

Agreed. Kawi Prado was not at all representative of his true ability. Anyone who's watched MXGP regularly - seemilngly not many on this forum - know this.

People would be a lot higher on him if he went 3-4-2 the first 3 rounds, rode over his head and crashed out like both his teammates. The plan is make it through SX, gain experience for 27 and make it into outdoors healthy. So far he's sticking to that aside from the mid season setback. Top 10 in points after missing 3 rounds. 15th last weekend probably wasnt part of the plan though. Not sure what happened but he looked like absolute crap the moment rain started to fall in race 1.

Well considering how good this SX season has been for him, i would not worry about his upcoming performances outdoors. He will be fighting for podiums and maybe the occasional W this year.

It’s as if everyone has forgotten the Prado game plan for 2026: first survive supercross injury free, then re-establish himself outdoors. Then he can push harder in supercross in 2027. I mean, he and the team have pretty much laid this out there. To his credit, he’s done surprisingly well in SX this year, but it just makes sense for him to back off and not worry about finishing position at this stage in the season. Learning lessons, as RC would say.

Oriol Oliver did impressive too, 8 place for a private and mxgp rookie. Herlings is just an animal. Amazing race!

Right? I'm reading these posts and wondering if my memory is failing me. Shuffled back quickly? I'm going to have to go rewatch because I'm not remembering that at all.

Dude rides Supercross better than a lot of you give them credit for. I’m not expecting a win but he sure as hell has held the leaders pace for many laps not just shuffled back to 12th by lap three.

Everyone saying he has no shot are literally going full Ricky. He was tied on points or within 1 heading into race 3 at one of the previous triple crowns. He nailed the start race 1 and 2 and blew the start race 3. If he nailed the start race 3 I think he gets it instead of Webb. So yeah “no shot” when literally he was very close already…
