5/9/2023 4:16pm YZ. Best 250 motor ever made. Years and years of support and development, excellent parts availability, and cost effective maintenance. You can make it into whatever you want, but off the showroom floor, it’s an excellent bike. Lug it, rev it, short shift it, whatever you want. I’ve got 1000s of hours riding YZ250s and they feel like a glove every time I strap one back on. They do nothing wrong.

5/9/2023 4:14pm The electric start cant seriously be a factor lol. Yamaha. Theres a soul within a YZ250 that is in no other bike. Idk how else to explain it. Fun to ride, fun to mod, cheap to own, easy as all get out to work on, abundance of information.

5/7/2023 8:04pm I think Feld needs to figure out how to keep the rider’s healthy through the entire season. Whether that is with track redesign, limiting displacement/HP, something. You can’t sustain fan interest if all the stars are on the sidelines by the end of the season….. unless you are going for some “last man standing” kind of championship, which is where we are today. I just hate seeing this as a war of attrition.

Bike is phenomenal. Did one more light session to complete break in. Some take aways: 1. KYB SSS forks are amazing. First time on this fork and this is what suspension should feel like…and I’m sure it’s not fully broke in quite yet. 2. Powerband is buttery smooth. Flick of the clutch and it lights up. Roll on power is very controllable. Also the Keihin is a great carb. Very crisp and responsive. 3. Every bike I’ve owned had rubber mounted bar mounts. These are directly bolted to the clamp. I was worried about vibration but it’s not too bad...

4/11/2023 8:45pm I love RJ but let’s be real, he’s not going to beat Hunter, Cooper and Jo this summer. (I’d throw Vialle in there too but it may take him a bit to get used to the US tracks/schedule). Toss him on the 450 so he can get some more experience in the bigger class and maybe it will increase his speed and confidence for 250 next year.

4/11/2023 8:43pm Going to be a short turnaround time going from HRC Honda to Husky after SX is done and outdoor begins. Probably the best guy for the job that's available.

4/11/2023 6:51pm It’s all in your head mannn…. no, seriously. It’s all in the head😂 try to look further ahead. A lot of times I can pick up the pace if I can force myself to spot out further. Don’t “ride in front of yourself”. Plenty more head games to play but that’s a good start. If you can back it down to maybe 80% and start riding in front of yourself more you could probably start inching past “100%” using that same “scale” of speed or effort. another one is line selection. The first thing I was ever taught is line...

4/11/2023 6:49pm Well I don’t want to discourage you but I have been trying the “slow down to speed up” technique since the early 80’s and while I got the “slow down” part dialed I am beginning to think the “go faster” part is going to elude me forever!!? 😝 🤪❗️in all seriousness I think it just comes down to how much your willing to risk and I have just never been able to 100% set my fear of catastrophic injury etc aside to progress any further than I ever made it! I had only achieved intermediate status before I got old...

3/29/2023 4:09pm I wouldn’t say Hunter is B+ to Jett’s A. Both are A riders, and imo both should move up to 450. It would be rather historic on several levels, but I suspect Hunter will defend his 250 title and Jett will move into the 450 ranks.

3/28/2023 9:50pm My son is 14 just finished some of our first races and recently raced a LL Qualifier. This is our first season on a 250 4stk still learning on it. Just from our first few races the C class looks like a mixed bag of everything from A to B to beginners racing just from my standpoint the B class has fewer riders and looks safer should i or can i move him to B were not competitive in B but really C class looks faster?, may need to race Schoolboy 2 just trying to find a class that is...
