Has anyone swapped out the stock 2005 YZ250 carb to a standard 38mm air striker? Basically removing the TPS and Power jet.

Not sure why it would not work, people swap smart carbs and the lectron which do not use the TPS either. Just not sure if it would be the best solution for performence?

Thanks. My carb has been acting up and going to test a 38mm AS to see if it runs better

Yep, just swapped the stock 2023 Carby on my YZ250 for a STIC 38mm air striker. Simply unplugged the TPS and Power jet connections, covered them up and tied them up out of the way . No issues bbbrrraaapppp

Tps don't matter I think it only covers the power jet solenoid as it only kicks in at wot far as I know

Why not fix what you have? It should be cheaper and you may have to chase jetting on your replacement carb.
