My brother is a longtime dealer. He would even say $400 for set up is way too high. He sells bikes at his quoted price, plus tax and a $30 doc fee. There are still good dealers out there. You just have to look around.

It's nothing to do with liability, it's to do with bull shit fees. I had one bike with the wheel spacers backwards, another with the pinch bolts loose and another with the fork sticker upside down.

You are correct, however I refuse to pay that "BS charge". Everything they touched on my newest bike was messed up. Loose throttle tube, backwards wheel spacer, wheel nuts loose, etc. If i was one of those people who didn't look go over their bikes......I could of been seriously hurt. So with respect, I will not pay it.
