I haven't heard or read his name in a while and I didn't start this thread to lament his injury or inquire about his health. I merely wanted to salute our modern day Malcom Smith and say thanks for all the memories.
My personal favorite- taking a stock CRF 450 to Florida and winning the first GNCC you ever entered.

i hope Doug can get some joy out of the coming years
I can still close my eyes and CLEARLY see him flying down the fence line on the big down hill at Broome in 1993 as if it were yesterday. He was less than a foot away from a few hundred fans WFO! I also smelled 2 stroke & Race Gas when I closed my eyes but we won't open that can of worms.
The world would be a better place with more Doug Henry's!
(I thought he did a great job commentating and I hope he does more of it.)
Always pulling for Doug. Definately a remarkable never-say-die rider.

I remember being so relieved when he gave the thumbs up being carried out on the stretcher....tough as nails and always smiling.

Doug is the man!!! He going to promote this years Supermoto National in Conn. All I can say is when life gets you down look at what Doug has overcome and get motoing
