i remember his first race at dade.his dad and i were on the side line .you could of ran faster than he was going.lol. then ,with the practice and family genes ,he became really good!
its hard to picture that little boy on a motox bike in this kind of trouble ...

I remember when he won his LL's title in 4-stroke
It was down to him and Jeremy Shuttleworth and the final motos, and they were best friends at the time
Jeremy went down in a pile up before they even got to the first turn and he broke his humerus (upper arm bone).
As it was described to me by those standing there, it was at a 90o angle and pumping blood.
Jeremy refused to leave, so they put a tourniquet on it and had Jeremy in the med room of the office, watching out the window, waiting for Kyle to cross the line, and Kyle ran into the med office after his moto to check on him and then Jeremy left, was lifeflighted if I remember right, to Nashville because of how bad it was.

With all these home schooled creatures coming up i expect we'll see plenty of 'mxers in trouble' in 10 years. Maybe a lot sooner for the ones that don't make the pro ranks.

At least when you go to school,you go to school. You learn something just by osmosis. Home school is no school. I watched that you tube from Kevin Kelly about are you smarter than a 50's rider. Some of those home schooled kids couldn't name one planet,including earth. They have no IQ. They know absolutely nothing. It's pretty sad that most of them are getting the big sponsorship now,but when they fail in the pro's,it's gone. They won't find a ride,and won't be able to afford a privateer lifestyle. This isn't the NFL. There are very few riders that make good money losing races. These kids couldn't even read a job application,let alone fill one out. Just look at jlaw,talented,dumber than a brick,and destined to be homeless in a few years. Most of these kids coming up are in for a big fall,you are only as fast as your last race,and basically they have the smarts of a 5 year old,if that. These kids are going to end up living off their parents money,if they have it. Or living off of ours collecting welfare.

Home School vs Public School is all up to the Parents

People who are dedicated to education will excel in both cases, People who are mostly dedicated to Sports or Racing will fail miserably at both trying to grab the brass ring. And lets not forget the kids have some of their own ideas no matter what the Parents do.

Most kids that are "Home Schooled" are kept away from public schools for religious preference. Not motocross.

Actually, Eric was tbteam's mechanic on all of his vintage bikes before he just sold them. Eric tried racing again, on one of his vintage bikes, but hurt his shoulder and hung his boots again, but he was still fast, smoking the top vintage classes

Don't confuse "Yarnell" and "Farnell" and just so it's clear, this "Robert Farnell" is known and raced as "Kyle Farnell"

She sits around during her lunch period and listens to the majority of the teachers spout their conservative republican views...sure that's a small sampling but to make a blanket statement that teachers are "liberal minded" is ridiculous....

With my kids and their friends I've found out that by at least 8th grades they've developed enough of a critical thinking to know that everything that comes out of a teacher's mouth doesn't have to be taken as face value.

The problem is that even with the most dedicated (and hopefully qualified) of parents doing the home schooling, home schooled children do not get the social & interpersonal skills development one gets in a larger, diverse school environment. They often do not get to hear any countervailing concepts or viewpoints.

They grow up being the catered to, "big fish" in the very parochial and small MX fishpond. When they leave that environment, they lack a lot of coping and adaptive skills.

You very rarely see home schooling in any of the stick and ball sports. One exception that i know of is Tim Tebow, who was home schooled yet played for the local HS football team. MX should seriously take a look at the Ski racing industry model where they have private academies. It is different than MTF or any of those training facilities in that the kids actually go to school and take classes. Stratton Mt academy, KMS, etc. are great examples of facilities where kids can achieve their profession goals but at the same time get a good education and the benefits of being in a structured academic environment, i.e. social and interpersonal skills.

why does he have to come across a bit of factual information. They are HIS kids, and if he thinks teachers are liberal minded then that's ALL that matters Huck! Hell we have teachers in the Dallas area that are teaching Ebonics....WTF?
I don't know how some of the teachers even made it out of college! I never wanted teachers to teach their political views but it is happening all over the country.

Yeah that was her, she was smokin hot...wish I would've known she was a dancer, would have caught that show in Daytona last year!
