Nathan “Nate” R. Brahier, 30, died on Tuesday, March 29, 2011 as a result of a tragic airplane accident in Monroe County, MI. He was born on January 23, 1981 in Toledo to Richard and Patricia (Moon) Brahier. Nate was a 1999 graduate of Fremont Ross High School, a graduate of Terra Community College, also continued his education at Bowling Green State University and the University of Toledo studying Mechanical and Design Engineering. Nate had a long history in his job career, working his way through school, working at Glassline of America in Perrysburg and most recently for Conforming Matrix of Toledo. He brought good things everywhere he went and was quick to make friends. Nate loved motocross/street bikes, boating, anything with an engine (seatbelt, wheels & propellers, optional), going fast, racing and flying. He was always smiling and happy, always had a positive outlook in any bad situation that was presented to him; Nate was a great motivator to anyone and great at teaching people. Nate was always there to give a helping hand. He was founding member of the State Street Bowling League and enjoyed “Lime Time” on the boat, Memorial Day Weekends at Put-In-Bay, was a drinking buddy at The Blarney, a best friend, could always make you laugh, there was always a good time when he was around. Nate loved cars and extreme sports. “Thanks for the racing battles”. He was the Best Friend.
Surviving are his parents, Richard (Anita) Brahier of Holland, OH and Patricia Moon of Fremont; stepfather, Joe Podach of Fremont; aunts and uncles, Cheryl (Gary) Grolle of Genoa City, WI, Mark (Pat) Moon of Dundee, MI, Mary Moon of Lindsey, Neil (Kelly) Moon of Toledo, James (Brenda) Brahier of Port Clinton, Jeanette Studer of Whitehouse, OH and Carolyn Brahier of Meza, AZ; grandmother, Norma Moon of Bowling Green, OH; stepsister, Jennifer (Dean) Croskey of Swanton; stepbrother, James (Sherri) Griesinger of Delta, OH; girlfriend, Halsey Heinselman of Perrysburg and many close friends. Nate is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Delmar Ross Moon, Donald & Louise Brahier; uncle, Lynn Brahier and aunt, Donna Bishop.
