Did you notice Sipes look over to see who hit him and then just shake his head? Hard for Sipze to get mad after what he did to Wharton at the earlier race. Call it payback or karma, either way Wharton owed him one.

what was he paying him back for again?

Wharton has a quiet history of sliding under riders and shoving them off the track even when it is obvious they are faster...

i really don't like the guy, I am all about a block pass and I suppose sipes could let off, but lets not ruin the main event on the 1st lap...

he seems immature as a rider...no head for being a champion...

It was clean.

Ryan went way to wide and invited Wharton to do what he did.

I kinda think that Wharton looks a bit out of control as it is. I've never been a fan of his riding style.

Are you kidding me! He is a quiet nice guy who almost never gets in incidents. Sipes cleaned him out at houston for no reason at all sipes had it comming to him. The real dirty rider i josh hansen.

Wharton was no where near as fast as Sipes. Not saying it was a bad takeout or anything, but Sipes was the fastest guy all day, it would have been a dog fight between him and Wilson. Wharton was riding with a banged up shoulder that is going to be operated on this week, he was no where close to being as fast as Sipes.

When did Wharton win a championship?.. Did i miss something?

I loved every second of Wharton getting his revenge while keeping it waaaay clean. Sipes got a big taste of karma.

There was a time back at muddy creek on 85s when he wrecked in a moto and me and my friend finished ahead of him and he came off the track screaming at me and him. So I don't think it comes out as nice as people play him to be.

Sipes looked like he should have rode it out to me, but he looked over at wharton instead of making sure he didn't crash going over the tuffblock

It was a tad aggressive for the 2nd lap, but he did leave the door open. Didn't stop me from cussing Wharton out from my couch though. Race went from exciting to snoozer.

I was happy to see Wharton get aggressive. I notice he seems to get pushed around on the track a lot.
People saying Wharton rides rough-- are we watching the same sport? It blows my mind some of the stuff people come up with.

I guess no one read the Cox update that said Sipes thought it was Barcia who took him out and not Wharton. He went over and confronted Barcia after the race, then left smiling when he found out what really happened. Sipes is a good dude, and that attempted pass on Wharton was in the last few laps for a podium in the first round. You do what you gotta do, amazing the racers understand that more than some of you goofballs.

You guys are way over thinking this.

Looked like Wharton was a bit out of control and slid through the corner and took Sipes high. No malice or intent of payback, it just happened. Get over it.

Looked to me like Wharton checked up, and he could have slammed Sipes off the track if he wanted to, but he didn't. Sipes ran into the tuffblock and that was it.

Sipes is effing killing it the last few weeks. I am psyched for the dude. You can see how MUCH confidence he is riding with. Very cool. He just kinda put himself in a shitty spot trying to get up to Deano as fast as he could. A little more patience would have been great, Sipes has Wharton EASILY covered right now because of that shoulder injury. And that ride of his was truly epic for a dude who has been an after thought for 5 years in that class.

+1! Look at the footage! Little rub and left him 2 feet of room. Not ever close to the edge of the track! Sipes was expecting a lot more and overreacted, taking himself off the track. Pretty clean, if you ask me...
