I’m surprised you guys aren’t fighting over which one is better, the red peeps or the blue peeps 🤣. It is nice without the politics around here. Seems like the only threads in the past they were totally full of humanity were the ones about our dogs. I will be trying my best to treat you guys as well as I treat Pup. He is 102 in our years and this is how he gets around the majority of the time. He rode a dirt bike for the first time at 13 just like I did, and he might even go for a ski ride at 14 for the first time just like I did.🤷‍♂️

It’s a dog’s life…and it’s pretty damn good! 🤣

Well I voted.

Me and Reese live in the same state and I am curious why his ballot came in a blue envelope and mine in an off red one.....

I could do a whole faux racist/sexist comedy routine on the challenges I faced choosing between a Hispanic female republican and a male Asian democrat for some court seat. 🤓

But anyways, gotta walk my deaf arthritic dog.

He’s ready 🤣. Actually it would be a slow ride on a set of jump skis. If he’s not in the boat , he waits at the end of the dock howling for me. I am his emotional support human. When I go riding he does his howling in the rv 😆
The politics may have actually preserved my life a bit longer. If it wasn’t for all the fighting you guys do , I am sure I would have already ridden with an anonymous Green guy on this forum. And somehow I would have been talked into Baja. But I am still safely in District 37 territory and am looking forward to riding with you guys out there amongst the enormous hills , solar panels and windmills. Bring on the rain !IMG 9596 3

Some people here are so so full of themselves, when they dislike someone they just can't help themselves. I even get down votes when I post pics of my pup. Kind of makes you wonder how someone's life can be so bad that looking at a great pup motivates them to show displeasure. Don't tell them, but it actually makes me happy that I don't live my own life that miserable.

Yah I'm not a fan of peeps either. My brother used to love them I tried one and started to throw up.  Cadbury eggs though, are the one , well one of 2 candy's that I'll eat. Peanut butter cups being the other. But not very often. As I've gotten older I stopped liking candy .

Andie's mints are another candy that I would also eat , many great memories of my Grandmother that I associate with them.  My Dad and I used to share Jr mints and peppermint patties too, and  Heresies bars with my Mom  so I guess I'll ad those all to the list.  But its here and there every so many years or so.

Yep. $3.50 for a candy bar. FN ridiculous. I just saw the price of a bag of Halloween candy. $30+ depending on which one you get.

I haven’t had any candy since March.

We were judging a beer contest and I usually got to pick which styles I wanted to judge. It was a big important contest, so we had a bunch of inexperienced judges.

Since I am BJCP certified, el presidente put me at specialty beers with some newbies, never a good time.

I shit you not, some dude made peep flavored beer. Absolutely disgusting, but it tasted like peeps so he scored pretty high.

Someone I knew made sour beer with I think skittles. It wasn't terrible lol

I miss brewing. I miss the Belgians we made the most. For some reason we were better at those then anything else.

I made a recipe for a Belgian strong golden ale that I named Decoster Ale. Had to explain that a few times.

I resisted buying 2 bags this morning. I actually had them in my hand heading toward the register. But then I turned around and put it back. I knew it wasn’t necessary and I’d be sorry that I bought it.💯

That ski is way too big for that dog. I mean, just look at his paws!  It’ll never work…

We bought a bag of chocolate candy at Costco, I haven’t opened it yet, but it’s sitting on the table by our front door, teasing me, daring me open it….

@ML512 - What happened to the hover-to-pop-out function when reviewing who gave a post a thumbs up?
It helps to see who "approves" of a post especially if they use the generic avatar...
...I see that you can click on the avatars in the thumbs up to go to their profile, is that new?

Two different types of pain that day.

That reminds me of when the Boston marathon bombers body was at a local funeral home.  They closed down the area , blocks around the place.  My mother and sister happened to be in Boston and  my mother had sent a simple text that resulted in an FBI investigation.

She sent a text that just said, " Bomb went off"    I tried calling her but they had blocked cell signals by then.   I happened to have been doing a job for a customer that was a skydiver that was also going to or went to MIT. And they wanted satellite images and MIT logos in the artwork I was making. So with  that text, and those emails , the FBI had Google lock my email until they could go through it all .  At that point I did not know that   was going on, and I thought I just had too many old emails .

They unlocked it a day later and I deleted 30k emails. Mostly junk mail, social media notifications and some really old jobs. Well then my emails was locked again for another 2 or 3 days. due to more "suspicious behavior" And by then they had got both  of the guys. And after filtering through al of my  emails and seeing that I had nothing to do with anything , they  unlocked my email and everything went back to normal. I got an email  explaining it.

I should have printed, framed  and hung it on the wall next to the News paper cover that had the headline after the fire at my house , " Tall man in a tight squeeze escapes by the seat of his pants" .  Right between it and  the letter I got for a loan I was denied for because I was dead. That was a funny one to get.  I have some odd "artwork" displayed in my house.

The effort that was made to track down and arrest the second brother was crazy impressive and it blew my mind.  They held nothing back . It was kind of scary how free they were with who and what they searched though. Going door to door with swat and clearing houses

I feel  like my Dad back when I was a kid.  Growing up we had a general store next-door that had tons of penny candy , fresh donuts, amazing meat, roasted chickens, etc.  I got an allowance of $3 per week , way back as my first money I ever earned. I was always looking for ways to make extra money after I started getting that allowance. Pulling weeds around the house for a bonus $1 was one of my favorite chores.  And back then I could buy a bottle of soda and thing of Reese's peanut butter cups for that $1. My Dad was friends with the owner so I worked there a little here and there on the side. Helping unload deliveries and stocking shelves and in return I would get some free food and drinks. They sold horse and dog food so unloading 50 and 100 pound bags was a great workout and I thought it was fun. It started my love for helping people.

My dad used to tell me how he could go to a movie and get popcorn and the movie for a nickel. And now here I am saying the same thing  but it was a $20 for movies and popcorn so it doesn't hit the same.  Imagine 3 generations from now , granddad's will be bragging about back when I was a kid, You could buy candy bar for $100 and get change back.

I've bought candy every year but haven't had a trick or treater in 3 years since they started the trunk or treat in this little town of 400.  Haven't had my trees TP'd or car windows soaped eirher.  It's a strange world.🙃

This year was the 1st time since we moved in 27 years ago that we didn't give out all of the play dough treats. We started with 325 and had 73 left over and Our whole neighborhood did not run out. We posted to the community if anyone wants them to stop by and one neighbors church creates boxes to sent to kids in other countries so the 73 will be part of that.

Our town had a trunk and treat festival on Halloween so we think that kept the parents and kids from going out.
