Id assume its the same part, and the manufacturer didnt fix it before the 2027 models got allocated parts.
One available in ohio
fake news, dont fall for the fake bs. Just looked at their website, new honda inventory, not there. Dealers false lead you so you go to their site. I see several online but when you go to their site these is no VIN and no stock number. Just says "in route" or something like that. If a dealer truely has one there will be at least a stock number and or VIN # on the add. The rest is bs
First ones just landed in UK, but there’s a bulletin today about the delays and future timelines.
I think there’s only around 20 in the first batch for the U.K. with no certain delivery dates for follow on orders
The website the screenshot was from is Hondas customer facing website and is usually pretty accurate. The dealer may not have it in inventory yet, havent received the unit or sold it and havent registered the sale through Honda.
They also show we have one because we do have one coming or it may be here(I was off Thursday, it may have arrived). But since its sold we're not going to list it on the website or social media, Honda doesn't know that
Still waiting to see one in the back of a truck pulling out of the dealer...
What about someone about to be riding one?
Picked mine up last Tuesday afternoon, broke it in Wednesday, raced with it this past weekend.
Initial thoughts: The motor on this bike is incredible. It is sneaky fast as I kept telling people that asked. It turns amazingly and it is extremely light feeling in the air. It is really difficult for me to judge the suspension/chassis due to it being way over sprung for my weight (153 lbs) and I'm 5'6". I am coming off a 25 KX450 and I can honestly say even in stock form, this bike suits me way better than any other bike I've ridden.
Just dropped the suspension off today with EVO Industries in PA and going to let them fine tune some stuff for me and can give another update once its set up for me.
super sick!! this is great news. So, what about stability? is the front planted?
Hell yeah. How stiff is the suspension for you? I am used to having to go stiffer on the 250, hoping the 450 is on the money (I am 6 foot, 160). Hoping my dealer outside Philly has one soon...
Front is very planted...comparing to my Kawi 450 and my KTM 350, this bike will go exactly where I want it to where with both those bikes I would struggle.
Pretty stiff. We could only get my sag to about 97 with free sag at 42...we are goin down 2 spring rates front and rear and then it should be on the money.....hit up Mike Bear at Action Motorsports in York....they should be getting 2 or 3 this week from my understanding..tell him I sent ya.
Pit Row
I picked the bike up Friday .Broke it in Saturday. Suspension too soft for me at 210lbs .motor was very tight. was not over the moon.
It rode low in stroke & was a harsh but rideable.
Once home Saturday afternoon, I put in the next rate stiffer fork springs, lessened pre load 2 mm, 5cc up on fork oil & went to a much stiffer rear.5.9kg
Greased linkage, Hour meter grips, all the usual stuff. Hit the track sunday.
What a difference! I do not see an suspension revalve any time soon. Pure luck but it worked for me.
The motor loosened up a great deal & I am in complete agreement its sneaky fast as mike mentioned above.
Very easy to jump as the quiet engine is deceiving as to speed. On that note I could push harder & get less tired ,due to the smooth easy to ride motor. This is based on owning a 25/26 crf 450 & time on a 26 yz450. Not a yz guy I must say.
The contact feel of the chassis leaned over was very noticeable. Along with straight line traction is outstanding.
I did notice the lower n back pegs. Could stand into corners better & not load forward as much as older chassis
As of 2.1 motor hours It's still a little notchy shifting . I believe it will get better now break in oil is out of it & trans get worn in.
Possibly a bit of a a 2-3 trans gap but it was getting better as the motor loosened up. Not a deal breaker.
Sounds like a cool bike. Judging by some of the videos and hearing some opinions, it sort of seems like it is more for a different type of rider than a YZ is. I was a bit surprised that with the added power, it sounds like it's pretty mellow compared to the Yamaha. But the chassis and almost 250F-ish feel sound like a dream, on that new chassis. I'm a YZ guy but I would like to take one for a spin. And I think Honda deserves credit for shedding that weight, and keeping good cornering manners, while adding some stability. I've struggled with past Hondas in that department. Sounds like a great bike.
Interesting comparison!
First batch arrived in UK this week but it was tiny, next batch January!
Aftermarket ECU's from GET and Vortex available in Q1 of 27
any idea how many expected in January Ben
More than came this month is all I know, but still not huge amounts. Europe got a lot more and the USA got the majority but there are manufacturing problems in Japan on some components. If you haven’t put a deposit on one I would try to as it could be March before you see any free stock floating around
Congrats!
Anybody got one in California yet?
A bunch of bikes already with starter problems. What a joke. Honda reliability my ass...
I’ve seen several pictures of 2027 bikes in SoCal
