I was told he’s staying with Chase.
by who?
Super secret source on YouTube.
But if you really want to know, I said it about 3-4 pages back.

Anyone think the "sputtering" fuel injected Kawasaki is the team messing with a new type of traction control system for motocross maybe?
I dont.
If I had to guess, Chase was using a new engine and tuning package not used in previous years, so they didn't have the high altitude data yet.. they probably had to extrapolate off what data they had, used press day as the test, and got it wrong.
I think Chase was using an auto clutch.
There were pictures of him using the front brake without any clutch AND it miraculously solved the stalling problem he had on the KTM.
However, I think we dont see more autoclutches because they are more likely to fail if abused or not adjusted perfectly, which could cause the bike to stall in the air.
weege and Matthes said he’s already been reassigned to mookie
Well, it’s gettin’ kinda late.
Any actual “news”?
Where did he end up?
(Popcorn emoji -here-)
There's a chance to land at Star still...
Not if they resigned him.
It was a twisted engine and tune
You know how Matthes is aways talking about Deegan "bed bugs"? Well this thread seems chock full of Kawi Bed Bugs and Chase Bed Bugs, 😅.
Personally, I don't believe the "he accidentally tapped the rear brake" theory and I kinda resent Faihe for suggesting it. But I also don't think there's a bike out there that's gonna completely eliminate the inevitable Sexton-Tuck.
Can't wait to see how things play out.
oh wow, you learned AI, supper cool! Never seen that before

…and Matthes Bed Bugs. “Matthes said…”
Steve is just weirdly obsessed with the Deegans just like all the other boomers on vital.
Pit Row
It isn’t just boomers. ‘Gullible’ and ‘brainwashed’ knows no age…
I'm gonna be pretty pissed if nothing comes of this. I really don't like how definitively almost all of the media have been talking about this if it doesn't happen. Typically, if multiple sources say something in the fashion that it is being said, you can take that to the bank. I'm not even just talking about the Steve-sphere.
Not that I want chase to leave. I really don't care. I just don't appreciate the stamp it rhetoric when it might not ever get stamped.
And about the crash and the multiple eye witnesses that heard his motor miss firing, why the fuck wouldn't Chase pull off?! It was press day he had nothing to gain being out there so why risk it? Mechanical's happen and can happen to any team and no matter what you think of the team it could have been something out of there control.
when this was being discussed in after race interviews and such there were observers who said Chase never pulled in his clutch. He mentioned he thought he did. Sputtering or misfiring or not, wouldn't pulling his clutch in the air have avoided the front end nose dive? Serious question here as that kind of stuff came way after my 1970s riding era.
I’ve been using Photoshop for over 15 years, and this took me like 5 whole minutes. I’m glad you can’t notice how shitty this actually is. I think AI could probably do it better.
So, “Chase” bed bugs are “for” Chase right?
So that would include everyone who said his bike was cutting out or stalled in the pits?

..... nothing
no, a bog off the face will cause that, or in mid air where a (spluttered) blip wont allow the rear to drop/balance out/stop rising as he expects (opposite to what brake tapping does). These pro's are finding a balance point all the time and they use acceleration AND braking to constantly balance the bike. Look at any slow mo of them leaving a jump face on very loose terrain like sand or deep soil, you can see soil flying off the rear wheel (from centrifugal force increasing as they open the throttle) long after take off as they accelerate mid air to use gyro in ways you cant really comprehend Mr Nutz.
I could be totally wrong here but as I understand it, brake tap initially to level bike out, then throttle to settle it and stop the continued forward rotation once in position you want it for landing. Died on brake tap or no throttle response when he went to it to stop the forward rotation and over he went. All well beyond my skill level.
Just a fun fact, I brake tap regularly and don’t pull the clutch and haven’t stalled in the air besides one time like 15 or 20years ago on a carbed bike and I had 1/100th the ability I do now, which is 1/10000000th what the top guys have lol.
I do it by feel, I don’t stomp on the brake, I press on it, it’s never stalled besides that 1 time, it always levels the bike, and I’m a moron amateur with that kind of feel to do that.
Really think a pro couldn’t do that if that’s their technique or at will?
Edit to ask: if you needed to brake tap, in that same scenario whether you stall it or not, do you really think you’ll endo like he did? Like if you are already pitching forward, and you brake tap yeah it’s gonna be bad, but if you needed to brake tap, you were likely nose high so going from nose high to losing it over the bars, that’s a long way.
Brake tapping or panic revving doesn’t generally have that kind of effect, there’s limits.
But yeah let’s pretend it’s his fault.
Watching Blair Matthes pod last night....Steve did say "maybe 1 more?" when discussing the Suzuki team.........
