Gatorade doesn't have any involvement in mx yet, this could be a good opportunity for them...and Reed to afford Pourcel?
I surprised they haven't already made there presence felt on the mx scene since all the other energy drinks already have, plus Gatorade is probably the only one that isn't actually bad to drink if your a professional athlete!

That's contractual with NASCAR tracks, as Gatorade is the official drink of victory lane, that is why every track has a "Gatorade Victory Lane" and as you walk the hot pit at a NASCAR track/race you see a rack for a drink cooler like ever 100 feet, as they put 5 gallon drink coolers up so each team/person has access to complimentary Gatorade during a NASCAR race
Just my guess.

My son was 7 at the time and a major fan of Travis and Ricky so we had to buy it every time he saw one with them on it.
Here is some text from an ESPN interview with a Gatorade rep about them entering the BMX market-
ESPN: What made you guys want to start being involved in action sports and more specifically BMX?
Kenny: Gatorade has had relationships with various action sports athletes through the years; in the early 2000s, they partnered with Travis Pastrana, Ricky Carmichael and James Stewart. With more than 33 million participants*, action sports is undeniably the fastest growing group of sports in the country. Hydration is extremely important to a rider's endurance, and Gatorade wanted more action sports athletes to understand how their product can help them stay on point. A lot of BMX riders are using Gatorade to stay hydrated, so they can ride longer, and tapping into this interest is a very authentic move for us.
