Say what you want…

Say what you want about the track, format, points scoring, broadcast etc. we all have our gripes…but that was one of the most entertaining races of the year.
Every time i looked away for two seconds, something insane happened.

it was def entertaining yeah. But lol to all those who think this is just some vitards who like to complain about everything. Jeez, listen to the pros themselves. They openly speak on how they dont like it. And they get paid lots of money to be there, so it must be pretty bad. These two "smx" tracks have been nothing but sad

I wasn’t afraid to post it yesterday and of course the drama queens don’t understand. They don’t have a clue how much they have ruined this sport in the last few years. Wow congrats we got some follow the leader action because the track was so basic.

And there you have it.

Marchbanks also not happy about it either. Someone posted a Hopper video where he talks about it.

1:40 mark.

Hunter's "it's my job" comment says it all.

I'm sure most others share that sentiment.

Wouldn't they rather have it though for the extra cash potential?

I'd like to get the opinion of the riders outside the top 10 who are making extra $$ have to say about it.  I'm not giving much credence to what the riders in the top 5 say about the money, they already have enough money - that's why they don't give a shit.  These guys race dirtbikes for a living, making millions.  Cry me a river.  There was a time and place the Lawrences would have done anything to get a mere fraction of the extra money from a series like this.  The irony.....

Indeed.  There are many things to dislike about the SMX playoffs, but boring racing is not one of them.

I'd say most others in the field mirror the same thing some are saying about how the SMX cash needs to be spread into the two real series of racing.

SX and Pro Moto.

But then again, in all reality, feld would figure out a way to skim most of it off for themselves.

My parents (who were just above the poverty level when I was growing up) always told me, "Beggars can't be choosers".  All these guys make livings riding dirtbikes.  Go work construction or some other physically demanding job for little or no pay and think things over compared to what they have now.

Pretty funny considering how he ran off and hid the second moto. I think he’s a little pissed about being in a tough spot to win the whole enchilada and having his Second Round win streak broken, as well as just being over this whole season. I just hope he doesn’t burn out of MX completely and go be a car guy for the rest of his life.

The racers sure did deliver an amazing night of racing on a pathetic track that was not the "hybrid" style that they are advertising the series as. Apparently you can polish a turd.

Well he's already off to a good start.

He needs to hang out with Nick Mason, and get into collecting vintage Ferrari's with racing histories.

But as long as Jett's racing, he's not going anywhere.

That was entertaining to watch, but there was nothing hybrid about that track..

Kenny said he needed MX suspension because of the speed but the track looked like SX. Seems pretty hybrid to me.

To me a hybrid is part SX, part outdoor national style track.. nothing about that track was like a national, removing whoops doesn’t make it less of a SX track.

It’s been mentioned a lot but the China MXGP is a perfect example of what we could be doing

Hunter said exactly what I've been saying since the inception of SMX. It is nothing more than a defensive move to keep our riders from going to WSX. As soon as World Supercross dies, SMX will go away, too. Feld is so easy to read. They will not re-invest all that "TV money" into the existing series. They'll keep it for themselves.

I guess you don't follow the sport that much.

The money came with the requirement of a new format from the TV-side, play-off.

Simple tracks creates good racing, we see it over and over again.

They don't even read the rule book. So him knowing the setup for how the money came about?

Yes, you should know that riders typically know the least. That is, if you follow the sport.

Yeah all this complaining tells me these guys have never had a REAL JOB. one that if your lucky gets one week off work with PTO. That means working their job for 51 weeks out of the year not 32-36 weeks out of the years. I would defently prefer to ride, train, race motorcycles all year myself over working a REAL JOB answering to the man for peanuts comparied to what these guys are bringing in. Its honestly an insult to the fans that help pay these riders  to have these guys that are making millions, saying they are burned out working only 30 something weeks a year. Just my 2 cents come hollar

The thing with any professional athlete's job is that although they don't work as many hours, when they do work they have to be giving it 100% the entire time and that can be very mentally exhausting too. Not saying one is harder than the other
