Nothing the kid has shown leads anyone to believe he isn't deeply committed to moto. He has grown up with more money than almost any of the other kids he raced in 250s yet has more heart and dig in him than any of them.
Pastrana was never as dominant or as good as Deegan was results wise. It was also well known he had one foot in racing and another in FMX.
Everyone wants Deegan to be this spoiled rich brat, but he works harder than all the other people he has raced (until moving up, obv that's a different animal and he's learning now)
I'm not saying he's going to break records on a 450, but there's literally people out here comparing him to Barcia. It's so insane
This.
30 seconds is 30 seconds guy. Hopefully every race is a mudder for the rest of his career
Wrong rider. Wrong series.

4 races still to go. Anything can happen. SMX is our playoffs. Like in the NFL or MLB playoffs, underdogs can make a statement. If Hunta wins his first SMX title he will be extremely happy and guys here will celebrate. If Deegs wins it guys here will say it’s meaningless. What else is new.
tell that to Hillbilly, he seems convinced the kid is only racing to please Daddy by promoting the family brand to make more $ above all else.🤷♂️
Not sure if you’re trolling or just being deliberately obtuse. I definitely didn’t say he was racing just to please his father; I was implying that he might be like his father and not see the business of motocross the way others do. Although there’s no question that of all the Deegans, he’s the one winning national championships. My question is whether he’ll get bored with it before he manages to win the premier titles.
And it’s NOT hillbilly.
Nothing in his life up to this point has signaled he will get bored of it. The money is whatever to him. He's already rich. He clearly races for something inside of him that most of the other guys do not have.
Next thing you know Brian’s going to be out on the golf cart the night before turning the sprinklers on
How much do you think team Deegan paid Hunter to throw the race?
how bout shit or get off the pot instead of "implying"? Take a stand with your opinion. Leaving yourself an out and trying to impress everyone with your large vocabulary with a hint of arrogance makes it easier to not take you seriously in an actual discussion.
Idk maybe more than he paid Jett? Sure he got a brother discount for the mx championship
Man, go back to listening to podcasts…
You would probably know better than me, I don’t pay much attention to anything he does outside of racing. I don’t watch his videos, I don’t follow his gram, nothing. My entire opinion of Haiden Deegan is based on the what he says at the races.
Didn’t Deegan lead a lap at Unadilla and Ironman? In fact, didn’t he get the holeshot Ironman?
I’ll have to look back, but I’m pretty sure it was you that said Deegan had zero laps led. When in fact he was in first place at six rounds.
*All that watched know he didn’t lead that lap but “technically” he was credited with it for getting the holeshot and holding the position for 3 corners
How could he be in first position and not be leading? Liar?
Hangtown: He briefly controlled the front pack during the first three minutes of Moto 2, executing a clean line choice to move into the physical number-one spot before dropping back into a podium position.
Washougal: He led through the first turn. He won the drag race down the start straight and held the field off until he tipped over just a few corners later.
Unadilla: He led for the entire opening lap. He grabbed the holeshot, defended the lines, and held the lead all the way until the start of lap two.
I did see that holeshot in the race results for 1 of those races. I don't watch the races live but follow race day commentary here when I'm able and watch the results as they come in. I read more than once in this forum some season stats Deegan didn't lead a single lap all year, but that could be outdated or wrong at season end.?
Pit Row
Here’s the official lap chart for the first moto at Pala. Which lap do you see Deegan in first place?
I don't think it's either of those holding him back it's technique imho
