That's the way the vast majority go out.... very few even get a mention.... geezusss look at js7s exit from the sport... nobody knew wtf was even going on....

However, I believe he's announced one more SX go at it.  Win, lose, or draw I hope they do an appropriate send off tribute.

My girlfriend's 12yr old daughter said why doesn't anyone root for Tomac anymore? Sad, when she gets it but others dont

Only his Character and Stats live on.

Broc Glovers last race if I recall 

He Won ! 

But when he got back to the rig.

All his stuff was on the tailgate etc.

He said " They didnt even take me out to dinner "

( I know Eli is doing SX still )

I love Eli, but he did not formally announce it being his last outdoor.  He also talked about potentially retiring or doing a partial schedule for at least 5 years.  Who the hell knows what he is doing.

Think of chad reeds last sx, yes it was during the 2020 Covid rounds with no fans but he simply put his wife on the back of his bike and just rode out of the stadium

will be the end of an era. He had the red plate in SX this year so it’s not like he doesn’t have it. Just whether or not he wants the grind.
