I can't imagine Jett laying up to let his brother win. However, Hunter is so good that if Jett simply hiccups long enough, even he may not be able to reel Hunta in. I could see him just hesitating enough in the first moto that it sets up better odds for his brother. He's not going to throw the races, though.

Ping used to be a respectable source for information. I’m not sure what has happened in the last several years but he has lost all credibility in my eyes. The amount of inaccurate and just wild ass shit he says is astounding. I think you actually get more accurate information from some of the bottom of the barrel users here than what you get from Ping these days. He is extremely out of touch now.
I don't think jett will roll over and let him go. I do however think jett is a little conflicted about taking it from Hunter. At their level, any hesitation from jett and Hunter will take it. That's what I see likely to happen assuming no one goes down.
I don’t think it’s a far fetched idea at all. Going in the record books as the only brothers to each win national titles in the premier class would be a huge accomplishment for the family. I doubt their actively planning on it, but it’s really just on Jett getting a crappy start in one of the motos to make it happen.
Ping is reaching to stir up interest in his podcasts. If he genuinely knew that competitors, or a surrogate, betting on a race is illegal with jail time and lifetime ban, Ping wouldnt make such statements.
Both those guys are awesome, great representatives of this little sport. But dang it I hope Hunter pulls it off!

Well you got your answer. Hunter crashes, Jett goes by and puts in zero effort and somehow Hunter catches him from 30 seconds down lol. What a joke. Tell me this has ever happened in the history of Jett? Never ever would Hunter be able to do this. What a gift.
Just rewatched the race. Again, what a joke. Jett was 17th and Hunter was barely moving in dead last! Somehow Jett just couldn't get past 17th place for about 15 minutes. Complete BS! He threw the race 100%. No one can keep a straight face and deny it.
Jett 6 seconds a lap off the pace. Stands up and just lets Hunter by with zero effort. Rewatch Moto 1 and tell me I'm wrong.

Hannah let Glover by; Hannah let Bailey by; Joey let Tomac by; Musquin let Dungey by; Jett let Kenny by (precedent), so why is it so hard to believe your own eyes and conclude that Jett let Hunter by?
Did all those prior examples not happen? When did Jett last get 11th place in a moto he didn't crash in? Is Jett just pure as the driven snow and would never present his big bro with a gift by not trying hard?
Amazingly, the OP called this out before it happened. I suppose because we saw really bad starts all of a sudden and a subpar Jett at Budds so he wondered. Poor Jett. He didn't expect half the moto world to think he gave Hunter that race.
The only thing is none of those guy’s were in a winner take all title race. So they would all be irrelevant.
The only real question is was all the Lawrence’s in on it or did Jett just take it upon himself to finally get Hunter over the line 🤔
