I think Jett is a tad faster but I am pulling for Hunter. The kid is doing just fine in his rookie year. Good to see Eli out there but he would have to want it awful bad to get to their level. He's already done it all. How bad could he actually want it? He might do better is SX but the Ausie bros and the Bros from Belgium are going to be flyin. I expect danger boy to get his licks in too. 

Should be a great day.

Won't have time to watch this past Saturday's replays until tomorrow. 

Cool thing being, a shorter wait until the last two motos of the season next weekend. 

Been amazed at how well Jett has improved from a serious injury. 

And how rock frikkin steady Hunter has been. (Well almost).

Bummed that a few of our rider's were out so early.

The three SMX races are cool.

But IMO the real season ends next weekend. 

I just get the feeling that Jett is not going to go all out to beat Hunter. I mean, Hunter almost had the SX title. He had this MX title in the bag until he tossed it at Dilla. Jett has won it all previously, and deep down, I think Jett wants Hunter to get one. The first brothers in the world to have a 450 MX Championship will be one for the history books.

Jett, one of the best starters in the world, could not get a start at Buds. That was strange.

Yes, I'm speculating here that the Lawrence family wants Hunter to get this one. 

I am rooting for Hunter to win it, and wouldn’t be disappointed to see him win the SMX combined title either. 

But I don’t think that Jett will give less than full effort to beat him. He’s shown that in the past, the best guy wins because they’re better, not because the other brother ‘let them’. They may ride a little bit less aggressive with each other, but that’s not anywhere in the same discussion as letting the other win. 

I cheered so hard for Kenny in SX that its made Hunter the enemy in my brain. That said, I just want to see it come down to a battle on the track. The best outcome is that they start 1 and 2 and things don't stay that way. 

Sorry, the real best outcome is an Eli Tomac legacy ride where he comes out of nowhere and passes both of them, but at this point that's wishful thinking

IMO Hunter has earned every point he's gotten all year. Both SX and outdoors.

The title will have been earned even if Jett cruises.

I have never seen what looks like Jett backing off for that reason. I have seen him settle for second as do many that are in the title hunt will do because risking a crash aint worth 1 or 2 points. 

I think you could be right. I said the same thing to my son, who watches with me. 

Last year when Jett won the SMX title, he looked disappointed. I think he really wants his brother to win one. I can't imagine Jett laying up for Hunter, but I could imagine him settling for 2nd in the first moto. If Hunter wins that one, it gives Jett freedom to win the second moto and let the cards fall where they may. 

Agreed about the Kenny/Hunter battle. 

Wasn't pulling against either, just hated to see it end the way it did for Hunter. 

Will the AMA notice if Jett lays up?
There is an offense in AMA Rulebook (Section 4.2.A.18) about "...a rider must always attempt to succeed."
Again, will the AMA officials notice if Jett lays up? It would be tough in my opinion.

I seriously hope Jett doesn't "Cruise" or settle for second if Hunter's out in front. That aint what Hunter wants, it's certainly not what the fans want. Kind of sucks it's actually even getting discussed. What if Jett has a legit crappy moto and is off a bit ? People will say Oh he chilled back so big bro could win a title too. Fucked up deal all around. I'd like to see Hunter get the title, but not without Jett leaving absolutely everything on the track trying to win. What a gip that'd be. Like when Savatgy waved Eli by to get a million bucks, fuck that. That aint racing.   

Once the gate drops, I doubt Jett will be in cruise mode.

I really thought Hunter threw it away at Unadilla. This Saturday is going to be wild.
