Arnhem is a brutal track almost as heavy as Lommel, and the times Ive been there the crowds have packed the smaller circuit. it's lots of fun to go there on MXGP weekend.

Only problem is it's mostly flat and viewing is not that great unless you are in one of the towers.

It would be cool if something like this happened, it would get a bunch of American eyeballs on the series.  But, I have to imagine the odds are very close to zero.  I think he would be a title contender though, its really Herlings out there by himself right now.

Good to see Sacha back up to speed last week, hopefully he can continue to close the gap this weekend and make the last 3 rounds really interesting.  The 450 races have frankly been pretty boring at the front of the field since Lucas went down.  Crazy how much Herlings has on the rest of the field right now.

Gajsers bike looks so bad, sometimes it looks like he is running on bald enduro tires.  At Sweden he nearly crashed 3 or 4 times in 1 lap, right before he did in fact take a dirt sample, in race 1 I think?  At Lommel he looked completely out of control, like he was riding a bucking bronco on parts of the track.  Its very strange.  I really like Tim, he goes out there and gives it 100% every time, but he truly looks handicapped by the bike this year.  How can the GP Yamaha be this bad?

In the 1980's, Bulgarian privateer Dimitar Rangelov drove all the way to Hawkestone Park from Bulgaria, and had his van break down on the way. Fixed it, drove non-stop, got the ferry, got to the track only just after signing-on closed and the FIM officials refused to let him ride. The riders all protested on his behalf but they wouldn't budge.

Don't know why but that story always stuck in my head. So cruel 😕

He was one of those great privateers back in the day that travelled from race to race on a shoestring, and would occasionally the stars would align and they'd pull a big result out of the bag. I'm pretty sure he won a 250 GP on an RM250?

I think he was riding a Husqvarna that day at least, he was fearless jumping. Neil Hudson won the O/A. I was with the Serval Marketing guys and I remember Pete Mathia needed a front mudguard for his RM for the 2nd moto but we only had blue so he had to ride with it. It looked so goofy.

Tim507 : " I destroyed my Schlüsselbein!! "

Not the Schlusselbein! 🥵

I don't think they so casually plated them then (or, if they actually did plating then) so, perhaps you might have a Z shape to your Schlusselbbein! I've few mates of our 'vintage' that have bizarrely shaped ones. Not me, I just destroyed my bloody AC joints.

And in a race instead of putting in a fast lap.

Hard hit bit at least he got up looking relatively ok but he did do the cutting of the throat motion, not sure what that actually meant.

Well, Lucas had that prang on his first lap of timed practice! Bit of a 'hit', too.

Didn't come back out.

I'm pretty sure he can still ride the qualifying Race,  having done other practice, but will he?

Farres was back in, I think, 9th in MX2 - maybe a bit 'off' after last weeks 'head bashing ?

It is my right Schlüsselbein and it is a very irregularly shaped knot for sure!! No plating - no wiring - just a figure 8 strap and out the door. Took a long time to heal. Braapppp

You're delusional if you believe Arnhem is "almost as heavy as Lommel". It's more a Valkenswaard-type of soil, hard underneath. The only Dutch track I can think of of being absolutely brutal is Lierop.

Herlings was , as usual, Impressive.

But Kay, coming from near last after that prang, well, that's pretty bloody awesome.

And The Hoff - hope he goes out of his last GP with a Great result!
