As you can see from the classes offered, we added a 55B and 60B and made the Warrior an official class.  The two stroke and 125 class is pretty much directed by the track.  Also, the tracks are designating the award structure.  Trophy or cash is their call. not something we want to get involved with.

Trophy or cash for 50A & 55A ?  If it ain’t cash payout I,m racing 55b,50b & 2-st.  Baja aces pays cash for 50+ , my pal got 300 for 4th I think.  1st rnd in may I ,m riding my stock 04 hopefully I hv time for a topend.

One of these days I will race the whole series just to do it, but adding Millville makes it lot harder for me thats a haul, plus gotta take extra day off work.

Oh hey Mike how you doing ? I see your off of i69 just s. Of 80,90 toll rd.  Millville is a bit of a haul for ya . For red Bud there riders driving from Conroe Tx. N. Side of Houston & maybe farther for some others.  I,m off the rd getting back & neck injection & pt is a part of it of course.  Don’t want to wait to long to do the series.  Because your body might be done. I think you’re a lot younger than me so ya probably hv time.

It has been entertaining to hear of all the comments regarding the World Vet race. I raced it a few times, and was quite disappointed to have not attended this year.

So for Vet racers that want to race a great series, we have the RacerX / Frescados Senior Motocross. We race from July through Sept.

The highlight event is VetFest at Red Bud. We have averaged 850 riders for the last two years. Nearly as many as World Vet. Track is prepped, watered, well managed, and super fun. Not to mention wonderful facility.

This series is only for vet riders. We have classes from 25 to 70 and everything in between. Check us out at MXVETS.COM

To me, a 25-year old "VET" rider is an oxymoron. I am well into my 60s now and when I was 25, I was in peak fitness and stronger than when I was 18 and age was certainly not slowing me down and my tolerance for taking risks was still very, very high. For a while, the tracks near me defined the vet class as 25+ which was utterly ridiculous, but they have since revised that to 30+.  A true vet in my book is 40+ and not a beginner, regardless of age. We have forgotten why a vet class was created in the first place.

Only big vet race I do is the High Point Homecoming. I love it, but all of my friends that also do the Redbud Vet Race say it is a must-do. Heard it was fantastic. I'd like to do that race at some point.
Never heard of the High Point Homecoming. When is it?

It used to be awesome until Red Bull got their hands on it. Now it’s geared more towards “hybrid” type stuff and very little moto only. Not to mention the $$$$$

In Australia vet class starts at 35, being 34 and sitting on the line beside 18 year olds sucks and it's at that time I think vet should start at 30 but then that just starts adding classes. 35 is a good age to start vet racing

I agree when I was 30 and racing against 16-20 year olds with no job or kids, still think they are going pro (in the novice class) that are similar speed or slower but sketchy and have no concern for taking someone out. I was glad OTHG has 30+ We still get a little rowdy but much more respectful it’s more of a gentle steal your line be a straight up slam you out of the rut 😂

Young (younger than me by 19 years anyway) guy at track i ride occasionally is a big time shit talker regularly. He is a slow C rider at best on a Stark. He used to ride a KX450 til he got the electric toy bike. Now that he can jump he is always trash talking my riding ability on YT or FB. Only time we have ridden at same time I was on his rear wheel every lap. Could have taken him out at any time. Now two years later he thinks hes a high level rider and wants to brag about it. I think maybe he has raced like 4 times ever. By my recollection , I have over 150 race motos just in the 90's before I stopped. His only comment.......how many wins you got , thats all that matters.

Next time im on his rear wheel during practice, I may not be so kind as to not send it right into his front wheel in the first corner I get the chance.

Glad we bailed Saturday morning.  The incoming rain we encountered on the way home was blinding for awhile.

I've definitely been enjoying some of the more chill vet style races. I know its not necessarily a vet race but the Daytona Vintage Supercross has always been so much more fun than the RCSX the days prior. Way more chill, way less people, and some epic vintage bikes. I definitely wanna check out World Vets some day.
