Canada had it coming. Cunningham didn't. Can't wait to see Hansen laying in a corner after that one and this is coming from a Hansen fan that is losing respect.

I'm amazed that Hansen seems to think he is the designated wrecking ball. He doesn't seem to think about the wrecking ball is going to come around 360 degrees, what goes around, comes around, andI I'm gonna LMAO when it does.

I've watched the race 3 times now and never saw anyone go across the finish line jump and throw as big a whip as Kyle did when he was passing Josh. I wasn't there so I didn't see every single guy go over it every single lap but I did see every guy go across the finish line jump that was televised. I definitely think there was some attitude Kyle was throwing at Josh as he was passing him and pehaps it was deserved, I don't know their history. I'm not saying Kyle is not a good kid either as I don't know him from Adam, just think he got caught up in the heat of a battle with Josh and decided to stick it to him just a bit. If you turn up the volume and listen closely you can even hear Josh yelling at Kyle after they land and make that next right hand turn. I think Kyle should probably have known that Josh was going to be coming in hot that next corner after showing him his rear wheel and then hearing Josh yell at him so going wide in that next left hander was probably not a great idea. I think if Kyle would have just passed him and not thrown that whip at him Josh would have let him go. Josh played nice with Decotis when Decotis got by so I don't know why he would have changed his attitude when Kyle got by him unless he felt he was being shown up. I've never been a big Josh Hanson fan but it's nice to see him taking full advantage of this chance that Mitch has given him. It's also nice to see someone fighting for a championship and decide that he won't be pushed around just because he's injured and vulnerable right now. Gotta give it to Josh for toughing it out these last two races, he's showing a lot of heart .
I agree. Kyle definitely gave Hanny attitude on his way by, Hanny wasn't havin it. Props to Hanny. Hope Kyle does the same if others show him attitude.

**Also, remember to take inside line when showing attitude**

Nobody deserves to be taken out no matter who they are, or what they have done. IMO the situation is out of control, and until the AMA steps in, it is open season. I am sure there is history with every rider out there. Barcia, Hansen, Cunningham or whoever. Everyone has their opinion, but, unless you are the rider, and you know exactly what the circumstances are/were, riding conditions etc, nobody really knows who did what and why.

Every rider is a good guy just doing what they love.

Get over it.

Hanson is a punk plan and simple...

He wasn't even in contention and was going backwards in the standings and still pulls BS moves like that take out. That just shows you he will never be a champion like an RC. I get rubing and bumping while riding but when you aim for someones front tire to deliberatly take someone out, you are a punk. I hope PC drops his ass after this season. He does not deserve to ride for a team of that status and if they keep him, my business will be lost.

I hope somone teaches that kid a leason out there since I cant do it myself. Hey where is J-Law when you need him? just sayin.....

Are you high?
Josh is battling for the series championship and every point matters.

I am not saying that was a nice thing to do but nice doesn't pay as big a bonus as the number 1 plate.

And you are doing a little revision on history if you think RC didn't bang guys when it served his purpose.
Maybe later in his career he backed it off but in his earlier days......hammer down.

I can understand why Hansen is riding so aggressive, this may be his last shot and he isn't going to let anything stop him, but according to Cunningham, josh said he did it because he "got too close over the finish line jump"? Does he not remember that the reason Canada took him wide is because he almost shoved him off the track over the finish line jump? I was neutral on this but after remembering that after what Kyle said, Hanny needs a kick in the nuts. If you dish it out, you can't complain when someone does the same to you.

I am a Hansen fan but that was ugly. On the other hand maybe Cunningham shouldn't dish out attitude and then not be ready to defend himself in the corner?

Where did Josh say that he did it because of KC getting close?

Not being a wiseguy just want to hear/read the interview if there is one.

NEW RULE: if you are battling for the championship, you can pinball through anyone. Got it.

I can't wait for lappers to start t-boning the leaders when they realize that they could make more money by taking out faster guys and also get closer to a championship.

I look at it like this... Josh is riding around frustrated and hurt, getting pressured and passed... he seemed to make room for Cunningham and he (Cunninham) goes all "look at me Josh" I' mpassing you and whipping in your face old man... and Josh was like "oh yeah?" check this sh-t out hot shot! Spur of the moment emotion.

yup, KC should have saw it coming too. And I saw it in the TWMX "how was your weekend" with Cunningham. He's the one who said Josh said he got too close, it's on page 5 I think of this thread. Not a Hansen fan, but I'll applaud him if he still wins the championship, he's definetely made a turnaround. But, I won't shed a tear (and may possibly give a chuckle) if he loses because someone else takes him out.

Big difference between pin balling and someone leaving an inside line wide open. Split second decisions are made when racing at this level, and those decisions are not always going to make everyone happy. Kyle himself made one of those split second decisions that put himself, Roczen and others on the ground. That was just a racing incident also.

Jim,

I watched the race when it was broadcast and it formed my initial opinion. I've watched it since this discussion began and I have to say that it hasn't really changed.

Your comments got me to looking at the incident and what I do see is 3 riders going through that same turn at the same time a couple laps later, meaning there were 3 lines in that turn. Josh did what he did 100% intentionally. I consider that dumb. It's a risk not worth taking.

But, let's look at why he did it...pretty much everyone believes he did it because KC whipped it on the pass and did a look over. Now, that may have been exactly what he was doing...OR, it looked to me like their lines were drifting together. KC was trying to set up for the inside line to avoid contact. Did he get close in the air? Was that very close to a mid air collision? Sure, but, he got by ok. Should he have protected his line in the next turn? Apparently so. Of course, people went through that turn all night and nobody else got taken out in that corner as far as what I saw.

I don't think there is any question whether Josh took him out or not. And even though I am a fan of his I thought it was stupid/ugly. But I think I can understand how his mind was (or wasn't...lol) working at that moment.

No problems here txmxer. Kyle is a good kid and I don't like to see things like this happen, but they do, and will continue to happen in the future.

I wish them both the best of luck.

I think the odds are that we will be laughing at Hansen. As dirty as he is, he is not going to be able to take out enough people who are faster than him to win the SX Lites championship. He would do better in demolition derby.
I'm still hoping he gets what he deserves before Vegas. If not , I hope Josh is stupid enough to get "tough" with Barcia, unfortunately, Hanny is probably not that dumb, but we can always hope.

Here is my take,
Hansen is a HUGE Douchebag and when he can't hang with the pace, he just takes them out. The move he did on Cunningham was total BS. I was hoping that Cunningham would wait for him to come and lap him, then return the favor.

Any one of the 3 that he took out should return the favor. If they don't, they are pussies!!!

For all of you that are going to say something about this coming from an internet troll that has never been on a bike, wrong. Nope, not fast at all, but I do ride and I do know a Douchebag when I see one.

So when people whip in your face or push you around you just go- here, take this line, take this position, I`m sorry I`ll wait until you go by.
I would be all right with that attitude KC showed when whipping in Hansen`s face if Hansen was healthy, but to show off on injured rider.... I saw retaliation coming as soon as I saw that whip. You don`t let it slide. One guy wrote here " Do not corner injured dog, he just might bite."

( I don`t think it was good move. Sometimes you have to do what you have to do.)

Paybacks are bitch, and when your racing for the championship I'd sure hate to have a Bullseye on my back and knowing at least 3 riders on the track were aiming for me (takeout)!
I hope I get to see it!

Hanny started this shit a long time ago. He has very sensitive feelings and a fragile ego, and since he is slower, he wants every body to go slower too and stay behind him. If they must pass , they should at least bow down and ask hanny if they may please pass him.
And he does sneek up behind people very well and is great at knowing where to hit them to take them down or run them off the track into oncoming traffic. He should be good at it, he has had tons of practicet.
I think alot of people could get good at that with practice; if they wanted to just be an asshole like hanny who reverts to what he is good at, every time some one passes him; if he gets the opportunity. You gotta watch ur back around hanny, that's for sure.

Emig? Serious? Unsportsmanlike? Coming from he who booted Larocco in the head? KC left the door WIDE open, pretty stupid when you just pulled the smartass lookback. Funny thing, nobody noticed Decotis put the same move on Hanny, in the same corner I think! Since Decotis is the nice northeastern kid, nobody sayin shit... Emig's a good example of 'the older I get, the cleaner I was'...His BS comments started this crap. Hanny's a polarizing figure, but his move wasn't dirty... He was just lettin everybody know he wants this more, and nobody is taking it from him. 2011 West Coast Champ

kyle hit the jump at a fast pace and maybe he needed to whip it hard to make the down ramp and the look back was just to check he had cleared hanson.josh has been doing it all year to other riders ran craig out and made him crash, did canada and now this for one clean fast rider he sure does attracked alot of incedents.
