Don't throw butt whips off every jump.

Don't ask a 'community' for help and then insult them.

When you talk to people about riding, don't lead them to believe you are better than you are!

If you do this, when they actually see you ride, they'll just make fun of you.

If you don't do this, then you will find most people are willing to help you get better.

Don't rev the crap out of your bike when warming it up at the track. A friend of mine does this every time and looks and sounds like a complete idiot. If you are sucking real bad look down at your motor multiple times and shake your head before pulling off. Laughing

I can remember a Saturday Saddleback when Jody-Cross Action came up to a group of Pro's and said "I found a great new line" and Mike Bell looked at him and said "Going the speed you do you could see all the good lines" .

Something to do, is pick a favorite rider and try to emulate their riding style. Needs to be someone of similar stature probably, but it helps to get rid of goon technique faster. Unless your favorite rider is Ronny Mac.

Now that is funny!!!!Tongue

I had a buddy that rode the Novice class for what seemed like 10 years and would do that all the time.... not that I was the fastest on the track, but, we had a bunch of similar comebacks for him when he found the hot line through the same track section we have been riding for what seems like forever!!!!

Now that's some good advice, especially don't rev if it's a thumper like your clearing out a 125 two stroke.Grinning

Do not complain about track conditions, they are the same for everyone. Know the direction of the track and hold your line, the fast guys know how to get around. Prep your bike before you get to the track, and take those needed tools with you air tank as well. Safe and smooth and speed will follow. The list is endless but I'm done for now. Have fun!

Dont wear your jersey to supercross, or anywhere else for that matter but on the track. No one will mistake you for a racer. Right Ddavis?

How about double or triple digit numbers starting with 0 or 00. I've seen a few of them unfortunately.

go to the Northeast where everybody has a letter on their number plate ex: 10k, p17, 14t.

Actually had to slash a 10x at a New Jersey race once.

Ride around the track completely balls out , never let off and pretend you are out there all by yourself.......oh wait. Never mind. Don't do that.

Tell him to just use his head , and have fun with it. Greatest sport on earth.
