As far as Deegan, he’s doing awesome. He’s in his rookie season going up against Hunter Lawerence, who is riding the best he ever has, Jett, who even with an injured foot is one of the best riders in the world. He’s beating a 4x World Champion and the rest of the class in his rookie season. All of them are seasoned 450 riders.

For context, Hunter didn’t win any overalls in his rookie season, was consistently well back from Sexton, and Jett was out injured. Sexton won one overall in his rookie season, but had only so-so results in the rest finishing 5th overall in a somewhat weak class.

Tomac didn’t win a 450 title for 3 seasons, and Jett, well Jett is an exception who went 22-0 in his rookie season, but I don’t think any of them faced the competition Haiden has in their rookie seasons. Yet some are acting like Haiden will never win in the 450 class. If anything Deegan will get better, he’s just taking his lumps now while the keyboard heroes touch tips at the thought of him losing.

22-0 is 22-0 no matter how you slice it.

It absolutely wouldn't have mattered who else lined up in 2023. Chase in 2023 is still one of the fastest guys we have ever seen and he couldn't lead a single lap vs Jett. Chase was faster than in 2022 and he traded motos with the best Tomac we have seen every weekend that year. 2023/2024 Chase would have still won overalls this year. Also not only that, talking about that a perfect season like that is so disprespectful, just staying off the ground (as a rookie) in general and having zero bike problems is almost impossible in this sport. To discredit championships in general is fucking stupid. To discredit a perfect season is crazy work.

They were both in another dimension that year. The depth of the field wouldn't have made a single difference, keep telling yourself that, so you can sleep better at night.

Looking at your data, I think Jett broke Chase’s psyche.

I was there that day.  Stews bike was actually buried in a rut on Mt Martin.

People sitting on the hills watching would slide down the hills once they tried to go down hill.  The mud was slick as heck in the main paths.

This is what happens when you run your mouth so much. Ask yourself why there have not been posts for literally any other rookie. Deegan expected to win he said as much before the season started, he still expects to win as evident by his yelling after the race that he’s tired of losing. I think he’s been good but he’s got a ways to go if he wants to be the top dog in the class.  I think the real test will be in SX. I thought he would have led atleast one lap by now but maybe it comes this weekend at Washougal. People wouldn’t be talking if he wasn’t the one starting the conversation.

You’re right Tomac didn’t win a title for 3 years. However, he started in SX hurt. He then missed the first 4 rounds of MX hurt and came back to podium speed and won his 4th round on a 450. He went on to dominate in 2015 before the crash that shredded both shoulders.

It's because all these 'no-nothing new to the sport' Donger fans don't want to have to face how wrong they were.

Yep I just saw the fox video of him yelling “I’m so sick of losing!” Lawrence. Brothers about to break that boy. The 250 class made him look way more dominant than he should have looked. Imagine if any rider got top 3 start every moto in 250s an rarely crashed. it would be same thing, exact same thing.

Dude. You are obsessed with Deegs. Unhealthy levels. Psycho ex-girlfriend vibes. Maybe lay off the Deegs content for a day or two, make yourself a margarita, and try to relax. It’s just sports. Nobody hurt you.

Chase had a really bad concussion after Rd1 during Jett’s perfect season and spent several weeks off the bike recovering. Bad concussions take months to fully recover from (see J. Coop this summer). The concussion plus the time off derailed Chase for that season. He was not the same as the year before against Eli.

Jett’s perfect season is impressive for many reasons, but the quality of competition is not one of them. His competition was abysmal. He also didn’t have to race the champ, Eli, who was the best MX racer in the world at that time. It’s fair to point these basic facts out.

Curious, of the people on this list, how many won a 450 out door race? Moto? I do not recognize any former champions.

Yeah if people want to compare perfect seasons,  Stew's 2007 competition was the weakest imo, followed by RC in 2002.

2004 vs 2023 could go either way depending on your perspective. With the benefit of hindsight I think the 04 field was clearly better, but it could be argued that it didn't have an existing class champion like 2023 did, in Ferrandis.

This weekend was probably the best we have seen Deegan look so far on the 450. He was running the leaders lap times while in heavy traffic, but that was still 2 seconds slower than Hunter’s best laps. You also can’t say the leaders weren’t pushing hard, they were both racing for the win lol.

You left out a lot of the story which is he only ran the leaders' lap times in moto 1.

He was cooked in moto 2, which for him still got a decent finish but no chance of running with the bros.

When a user gets banned the posts don't show up anymore. That's why no one can see posts from you're last 2 usernames.

I know 0-14, delusional, hypocrite, no need to respond.

OMG this is so true.... I am a race fan and both Jett and Deegan fan but the hate is ridiculous at this point. Yeah, Jett went 22-0 his rookie season but against who? He didn't have a field this deep and if you drop another Jett and Hunta in to his rookie season he never would have went 22-0. I think he would be right where Deegs is... in 3rd chasing and learning.

Stop with the facts they can’t handle it. Also don’t forget, when chase did come back after missing a few rounds, he had that mystery illness.

My comment has nothing to do with Deegan and everything to do with you...

Looking at your data, I think Jett broke Chase’s psyche.

Jett Definitely ripped the crown away from the air apparent and took the throne for himself. I agree Sexton has never recovered. At least Sexton got his 2 450 titles before that fact.

I didn't expect Deegan to be ahead of Tomac, Sexton, Prado or Hamshire.

I expected that DangerBoy would run behind Jett just as he has. I didn’t expect Hunter to step up his game a push Danger back to running 3rd all year. I thought that maybe he would win some motos and maybe an overall. I think this weekend will be his best chance for a moto win and an overall.

I give you credit for admitting to such nonsense …
