Radical Islamic nations publicly state their desire to destroy Israel and the West, but aren’t very good at it. Israel and the West publicly state they don’t want to destroy Islamic nations but we’re REALLY good at it. Just look at the scoreboards.

Would you agree that Iran is an anomaly in the Middle East and, for over 40 years their malign behavior and support for terrorist proxies has spread across the region?

I wouldn't really call Iran an anomaly, Pan Am flight 103, 9/11, Charlie Hebdo were all done by people not of Iranian origin.

Other ME countries use softer power to conquer beyond their borders, like LIV golf, Qatar Force One, and paying Instagram models to take pictures in Dubai and get run through.

Where did I state 9/11 or, Plan Am had anything to do with Iran?

I didn't say you did, I just said Iran is not really an anomaly in the ME or Muslim world and beyond. Lots of aggressors for ideological reasons.

Iran is the one they all let do the talking for them but they all play the game. None of them are going out of their way to condemn Iran or distance themselves from the Islamism.

Chance, how about just talking about the topic instead of making the thread something that you don’t really want to click on in public or at work?

Isn't hosting US military facilities a form of being anti-Iran?

It ends really easily, we just declare victory and leave.  End of story, just pull out, let Trump take his “victory” lap, and call it a day.  The damage to the region and US credibility has already been done, time to cut our losses rather than drag this out into another 20+ year conflict costing Trillions of dollars and hundreds of thousands of lives for no reason.

So is this sounding so bad now, or do we want to just keep digging the hole deeper as a matter of pride?

I don't know how this "war" will end, but if the Iranian people were able to view Chance's volleyball pictures I think they might be more motivated to fight for their freedom.... (:

Always so much bothsidesism on this issue and it drives me slightly crazy. The stated goals of Islamic regimes are not shared by Israel or any other developed nation. People just refuse to take them at their word when they talk about conquering the world and killing their enemies as official state policy/religious doctrine. Nobody else is doing that no matter what selectively edited quote you can find from some guy somewhere in government.

Arguing over small amounts of disputed territory in principle is not the same thing as having every leader you've ever had talk about taking this shit global and how incompatible it is with western values. If you're talking about the broader use of the greater Israel term then you've gone far outside what any actual government position is. Again, bothsidesisn where the two things being compared have almost nothing in common, in terms of the reach or how intertwined it is with actual policy.

The Jew hate is clouding a lot of people's judgment on this so let's make it simple. If tomorrow you had to choose between the United States becoming an Israeli state or an Iranian state, what are you choosing? If you had to send your daughter to live in Israel or Iran, which one are you choosing? If you had to go stand up in public and express your personal beliefs on God, which country do you want to do it in? There's no debate to be had on any of this and everyone knows it. Hate Israel if you want to, but being a westerner and not hating Islamism more is insane.

Yeah it’s not like Trump and co now aren’t trying to dismantle the ICC to prevent Satanyahu and the rest of the blood thirsty Zionist from facing war crime charges. How many countries now are totally against what Israel is doing? Keep the head in the sand. The Israel of today and the loons running it are not the same as biblical Israel. It’s not jew hate.

Sad thing I’ve noticed. You’re full of excuses and, a bleeding heart for a country that chants, “Death to America”. You know, one of Australias allies….

Don’t worry. No need to further discuss or, quote one another.

Would you agree that Israel is an anomaly in the Middle East, for expanding it's borders over the last 78 years?

Who’s in charge of Syria and which list did the US have him on for a long time? I think he’s recently been to the White House a time or two. Right in the presidents office. Talk about supporting terrorist. The US is always up to something somewhere. Tons of countries have come out against what Israel is doing.

I would just like to add ,since you brought up Biblical Israel. Israel lost their favored nation status by God a long long , long time ago. They failed to except Jesus who was a Jew as the Messiah and murdered him. When you kill the son of God, it’s ridiculous to think that Israel is anything more than just another nation now. Furthermore Jesus was the end of the mosaic law, although all scripture is inspired by God and beneficial (2 Timothy 3:16) Christians do not follow mosaic law. Rather Christians look to follow the example Jesus. (1 Peter 2:21)

It's always funny in these threads that every time you try to point out the problems with Islamism nobody actually engages with the arguments being made and instead just rambles on about Israel as if we have to pick one or the other. They can both suck. Still bet anything you'd send your daughter to Israel before you'd send her to Iran though....

The nerd herd always wants to contradict a simple statement, opinion that isn’t theirs or, answer questions with questions.

Your previous post comes off as you’re telling me something I don’t already know or, would agree with.

The US plays policeman to the entire world. Good cop/bad cop? A mix of both imo.
