I believe so yes.
Well now Israel says that Iran moved the stash. I can’t keep up with if it’s the same stash we have supposedly destroyed twice or if it’s a new batch they’ve whipped up like they’ve been doing for multiple decades.
You’re the second person to mention, “swimmer” that I can recall.

How did they move it, did they use a vacuum cleaner?
Iran has basically held neighboring nations hostage with their stranglehold on the straight, which they’ve never had a right to do.
Why do we need to merge our military with Israel? They already get more aid than any other country. They also said they aren't interested in getting into this battle with Iran. So again why the fuck are we there? All Trump has done is make things worse. We are not any better than prior to the first strikes. It's all so fucking stupid.
It's funny how some simple truths really strike home.

Interesting, how concerned were you 24 months ago about this supposed stranglehold the Iranians had over the straight? There must have been pretty large disruptions to oil shipments relatively often to justify the course of action our fearless leaders have taken, right?
Every 4 years, the anti war democrats and anti deficit republicans go into hiding. Been that way for last 25 years. If democrat is in charge, it’s bomb Russia from their base. Reverse when republicans are in charge. If Republican is in charge, it’s deficit spending cause it’s justified- from their base. Reverse when democrat is in charge. Remove the rhetoric, it’s the same damn party
And definitely maybe not quite the ones that were apparently destroyed last year.
I’m not concerned now or before about the straight. But it doesn’t mean I can’t have an opinion about it. Is that ok with you?🙄
What was wrong with the “stranglehold” Iran had before we bombed them? I don’t recall hearing much about it in the last 20 years that I can remember.
Anyone here that can provide legitimate reasons why we need to merge our military with Israel? @TeamGreen @ToolMaker @LoudLove
Not looking to start any shit. I am honestly curious why this needs to happen. Tagged you guys because off the top of my head I can’t think of any others right now that might know.
Id seen enough rumors to go do my own research:
The provision (originally Section 224 in the House Chairman’s Mark, later renumbered Section 219 in the House version; similar language appears as Section 1217 in the Senate version) is the “United States-Israel Defense Technology Cooperation Initiative.” It directs the Secretary of Defense to designate an executive agent in the Pentagon to synchronize and expand bilateral efforts on defense technology. This covers research, development, testing, evaluation, integration, industrial cooperation, co-production of systems, and areas like counter-unmanned systems, missile/air defense, AI/autonomous systems/quantum/machine learning, directed energy, cyber/electronic warfare, biotech, network integration/data fusion, and contested logistics. The stated goal includes promoting “the long-term integration of joint capabilities” between the two countries.
What it actually does vs. the hype
• Not a military merger: US and Israeli forces remain separate sovereign militaries. There is no unified command structure, no US troops placed under IDF control (or vice versa), and no dissolution of national chains of command. Claims of them “joining together like being one unit” are overstated.
• What it expands: Closer tech and industrial ties—joint R&D, sharing/adapting Israeli tech into US systems (and vice versa in some cases), co-production, data-related cooperation, and a dedicated coordinator to push this. The US and Israel already have deep, longstanding cooperation (missile defense like Iron Dome/David’s Sling, joint training, tech development, equipment sharing). This formalizes and accelerates it across more advanced domains and embeds it more structurally in DoD processes.
• Critics (across the spectrum, including Reps. Thomas Massie and Ro Khanna) argue it creates unprecedented entanglement, gives Israel deeper access/influence over US defense tech and supply chains, reduces transparency/oversight compared to traditional aid, and makes the partnership harder for future administrations to scale back. Supporters frame it as efficient coordination of existing programs, mutual benefit in emerging tech, and a shift toward partnership rather than pure aid.
Snopes and similar reviews note that social media claims of a full “merge” or “link” of the militaries are false or heavily overstated—the text focuses on technology cooperation and an oversight/coordination role, not fusing the armed forces themselves.
The House has advanced/passed its version of the NDAA including this language (with attempts to strip it via amendment blocked by the Rules Committee), and it is moving toward the Senate. Exact final form depends on conference negotiations. This is policy/legislative debate, not a secret plot to dissolve US military independence into a single US-Israel force.

When was the last time international trade was significantly disrupted, wonder if it's related?
While I appreciate the shout out, the only time I’ve read of an Israeli-US military merger is here in Non-Moto. Then again, Vital is one of my three news sources, the others being Ward Carroll and the Mover & Gonky Show. I wish I could be of more assistance.

$90,000,000 F15E/F15EX's may be providing tactical victories, but Iran's $20,000 drones are providing Iran a strategic victory.
So yes, the US is not getting it's money's worth.
Why don't they have a right to control the strait?
Why don’t neighboring countries have the right of safe passage of the strait? WHY WHY WHY?
Yes, why would they?
Let’s start with some light reading…

It’s funny…
I’d never realized Cartman was from Australia.
The Strait of Hormuz is 90 miles long, but only 21 miles wide. Irans Waters are 12 miles and Oman’s are 12 miles. See the problem with that math.
We’ve pretty always pushed Freedom of Navigation there.
The convention that the US wants other countries to follow, but does not recognize for itself, since it hasn't been ratified.
Like the US, Iran has not ratified the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea, so does not recognize the 12 mile limits.
Yes, they’re a rogue state.
