Yes! I'm surprised you havent been here before, seems like you've been everywhere. We are cooking this weekend but the spring water is always super cold so stick your toes in it. Maybe I'll bump into you tomorrow.

Stayed last night in Madison Wisconsin, the air was thick and smelt like burning trash, people in masks…. Twas surreal.  Staying in LaCross Wisconsin about 80 miles from track, tonight. Giddy for tomorrow, track looks sick, weather appears summeryIMG 4779 1.jpeg?VersionId=R.H2EVhqnIZHIXg.db 3OXjqTeLIMG 4782 1IMG 4762 4IMG 4763 5.jpeg?VersionId=Z4fAsflh3M8ZRIuIMG 4756 5IMG 4753 4.jpeg?VersionId=QRvIMG 4749 6.jpeg?VersionId=4SlIMG 4710 3IMG 4707 1IMG 4692.jpeg?VersionId=XL0fUVvyDujLkkoQUCg5IMG 4693 1IMG 4688 2.jpeg?VersionId=wpRnXcH0db7Cztlt4dNvExSAdo8IMG 4684 2.jpeg?VersionId=Lum6IMG 4682 3

Local guy selling corn out the back of his truck on the corner of Kwik Trip. Might be the most midwest photo of all time. Grinning

Yeah, it’s weird, always wanted to come here, I’ve likely been to somewhere between 100-150 Nationals, since the 70’s….yet never this one…. It’s only 833 miles from my house, or 2135 kilometers…If I find Profeshanal 125 I’ll snap a pic….IMG 4808 2IMG 4806 5IMG 4689 2.jpeg?VersionId=dv74HEHlbnPpv7Ax5IMG 4669 6IMG 4668 3IMG 4654 3.jpeg?VersionId=0bG1yflLoyJTQCqu

That haze is pretty thick. More than I expected for sure. Thanks for the great shots Rup! Interested to see how the track changes play out tomorrow...

Great photos as usual. I do find it ironic that the track that is listed as furthest away from Millville is always the round directly after Millville. Then they go from one side of the country to the opposite side of the country for the following round. There was an old video graphic several years ago that showed the series on a map but they quickly dumped it because they realized how ridiculous it looked with the arrow bouncing back and forth across the map mid season.

Spring Creek always a good vibe.  Even when you park a mile away something about the scenery makes the walk pleasant.
And once youre in the gate you’ve walked into paradise.  Neat experience.

We used to race amateur day back in the late 90s early 2000s every year there . Always a great time and really well organized, live that place but too lazy to drive the 4.5 hrs anymore lol

No that would be the 40 ft mice with a triangle of cheese, quite a few of them. Hey Rupert X after the race hit a super club 250 of them IMG 5844for great family food.  There mixed drinks r great too .  In western Wi. Take the back roads it’s beautiful. Similar to Pa. But more farms & lakes , the hills are smaller & easy to drive compared to Pa.

Best Supper club I've been to is in San Diego, next to a cigar lounge, can't remember the name of it right now. Wrecked a porterhouse last time I was there. Wish I could remember the name. Place is straight out of 1950.

Since you goons have turned my magnificent photo sesh into a Wisconsin Supper Club discussion, I must admit I viewed a documentary about them and yes, I’m enthralled. Is it the Manhattan or Old Fashioned that you must ingest at these things ? IMG 4670 2.jpeg?VersionId=3HMKQWlGG94.M0fZJ7QO6IKD1THLwK8IMG 4646 5IMG 4590 2

Downtown Millville there is a fun joint that has some great burgers and pizza, (Whiskey Dicks).
Lake Zumbro which is also close has a fun joint with good food.  (The Pondy).

Of course Rochester has many places.
Many teams used to frequent (Victorias).

Wabasha has (Slipperys) on the Mississippi which was made famous from the move “Grumpy Old Men”.

Also, ( Reeds Landing) on the Mississippi had great food at the only Pub/Food place there.
