Deegs still doesn't have anything for the Lawrences....

7/11/2026 3:37pm Edited Date/Time 7/11/2026 3:38pm

Today, I deduced that Vital is an echo chamber. Between the number of people cheering Deegan on around the track, the number of adults with 38 merch on, and the number of wrist bands on people for the autograph line, the real world supporters and fans of the kid trumps what Vital says about him.

That said, no one has anything for the Lawrences.

Deegan may be off the pace of the Lawrence’s…but he seems to be the only guy on the line that believes he can get to their pace and who is fighting for it…from where I’m standing, any moto fan has to respect that.  I know I do…

Barcia had the same issues with transitioning to the 450 as far as riding style and bike set up.
Heck, rookie results are similar too.

same conversations had discussing if barcia would have anything for Kenny back then.

Prado is ecstatic this year. He had zero confidence to break last year.

More so..  he's slower this yr, than last yr on a 250.. his riding style looks kinda wonky in the shoulders rn, just weird... if he was racing Sasha 1 on 1 today, even with cringe lord on a 450, he would have gotten beaten... the 2025 version of himself would have beat himself today... and now he fades in half the motos... must be too much "do this do that" goobly goo coming from too many different directions in the cringe camp or something.. either way... hunta and Jett got faster on 450s, not slower... but then... most guys get slower in the big class.. nickols, macklewrath, dozens of others, even js7 got slower in the big boy class... some guys are wired for 250 speed (barcia is a great example) while others are more wired for 450...

Well they better get faster cause deegan isn't getting any slower.

Against 2 guys who have proven set ups at that speed. When is the last time a yamaha ran the speed the Hondas are going right now.  Don't worry you'll be using jetts ankle as an excuse before you know it.

Yeah. It seems odd to expect a rookie to run with those freaks. Maybe the Belgium bros will spice things up next year but for now, Deegs is it.

he never gives up but he also never seems to pass them nor is he able to run with them.....20+ down first moto and was going to be 20+ down in second if Hunta keeps it upright. that's how i see it

I fucking love that Jett made Deegan his little bitch and smoked him again after that exchange. SO GOOOOOD!

As of now, he doesn't have anything of the Hunter boys. But he's a rookie, lets give him a little time.

still don't understand how being a professional d-bag is good for the sport, but you dangerboyz certainly condone it

It’s actually not an excuse. There’s definitely something to be said for bike set up. The brothers have an advantage in that area do to the fact that they haven’t jumped from one manufacturer to another. And it shows, those Hondas are floating around the track and it’s do to the fact the brothers have the set ups dialed in. I think Danger is at a disadvantage being a rookie on a 450. Race to race his team is building a portfolio of set ups. He’ll be much better next year.

your hypothesis doesn't make sense.....Joe has been with Honda at least five years, yet he doesn't win consistently. D-bag has been with Yamaha for 4 years yet he can't crack the code in the 450s. Webb has been drafted into helpeing dangerboy set up a bike but nothing has happened yet. your point is invalid.....don't be a bed bug

I can't wait for the Coenen's to come next year. I'm concerned for the well being of Herr Lich, Jettsonator, and Deegan Wrongist/Don Julio.
