Foremost isn’t a Chinese or Taiwanese company. It’s an American company headquartered in New York that’s owned by an American family. Doing business in China is not the same as being Chinese any more than Apple or Boeing are Chinese because they do business there.

We are constantly lectured by people that American citizens should just be 'American' instead of 'African-American', 'Asian-American', or any other label.
Yet the moment someone's last name is Chao, they suddenly become 'the Chinese Chaos'.
Not 'the American family'. Not 'the New York shipping company', Not 'the family that fled Communist China'. Just 'the Chinese Chaos'.
That's the same mentality that led people to scream "Go back to China" at Asian-Americans during COVID, people who were just as American as you or me. My own daughter-in-law, whose family fled the Communists also, was told in a Costco to "go home and take your China virus with you" because of that type of prejudice.

If she committed a crime, I'm all for her being prosecuted. If your strongest argument is that she's ethnically Chinese, her family has Chinese roots, and therefore she must be a 'ChiCom', that's not evidence. That's prejudice.
