More knee dragging for me. Completely addicted. I’m without a dirt scooter this summer, still kicking myself for letting my 22 125SX go.

Working on plans to run a vintage endurance race with my dad and maybe a CSBK round on an R3.

Don't wait, do it! Its cheap as hell if you start on minis. Under $3k for a bike and track days are under $100

The domestic CEO and myself will be heading to Tahiti right after the 4th of July for 2 weeks. First time, so looking forward to it. I have a couple of scuba dives planned, which will also be a first diving in the Pacific. Hopefully have some Go-Pro videos to post.

We need a report on this South Pacific paradise.   I was looking semi-seriously at buying a small honeymoon retreat on one of those islands out there when I retired from the Air Force..  6 cabanas and bed/breakfast owned by an old WW2 German that wanted to retire and go home.

Had to say "no"  when he said water had to be shipped in or purchase a desalination unit.  And pirates.🙃

Will report back ASAP! The island we stay at 1st is called  Papeete, then cruising over to Moorea. Looking forward to it, not so much the travel from Florida, but the islands themselves.

Heading to Italy this summer for a week with my girlfriend.  My first time to Italy and she just went there over the winter with her kids.  Spending most of a day in Paris on the way back and a day in NYC.  We will be near Pompei but staying on the coast but we will go tour that area and we have a private boat tour on the agenda as well.  Can't wait!

Bump.

Nothing big this year. Just planning on doing more riding since my shoulder is fully healed. It took nearly 3 years to finally get it to not hurt after an average ride in the woods.

Fishing is still a few weeks out for salmon so, that’ll be thrown in the mix as well.

What are you guys doing this year?

Returned home after being out of the country for most of June.

A trip out to mill valley before that.

That's enough travel for me.

Hoping to spend as much time at our cabin as possible.  Temps up there tend to be 10-15° cooler.

I have three childhood friends I’ve known my entire life flying in from California this August. A couple of them got into fishing after I moved to Washington so, they’re wanting to come up and, give salmon fishing a shot after years of me tormenting them with pics of my catches throughout the years.

I go back to visit family and, them every few years so, it’ll be a nice change getting them up here this time around.

One of them is scared shitless as I’ve been telling him about fake mountain lions I’ve encountered since this trip was first planned. I’m usually on the water by 2:30 and, it’s dark AF.

Here’s the group text and, me letting one of them in on it.

Should be a good time.

Let’s hear what you guys have planned.

Yeah been working on spending the kids inheritance. 😆Turned 67 in Jan and "Semi" retired and started collecting ss. Residential pool accounts got taken over by my son. I only manage the commercial accts now. I have less $ but more time. We did a Mississippi river cruise in April. Helped drive the chase van for Jeff Ward and Micky Dymond earlier this month, been spending tons of time watching grandkids, going to see Willy Nelson this Sunday, doing a safari later this month. (Short story, We went to a travel and adventure show in Long Beach, the Mexico booth was handing out free shots of tequilla, next thing I know we're booking a safari. Not cheap but a better deal than the river cruise) Going on a cruise in November with Daughter and family (2 grand daughters) and inlaws, Enesnada, Cabo, La Paz, PV. We're scheduled to swim with whale sharks in La Paz, can't wait to see the girls experience that !. Working on a 10 day Co. trip for next June. After checking out the Durango area after the bike race I decided to go back and spend some time there. Been trying to not waste time since I turned 67 and am still healthy enough to fuck around. I "Should" be stashing cash for when we're old and feeble but.....fuck it. Too many old people have told me don't wait until you're too old to do things like we did. So fuck it. Also spend as much time as I can on the emtb.  I feel lucky and blessed everyday. Hope you guys have a great summer and congratulations Spooner !

Tent camping with the family all week. My back is starting to hate me . Kids absolutely love it though. Hiking ,swimming,  playing in the creek. We explored a bunch of bear caves yesterday and checked out some massive rock formations left behind from the ice age . My son and I need to boogie home today for first round of playoffs for baseball,we'll make the drive back after the game.

Explored bear caves ?  Is that a good idea ?  We’re supposed to go swim with sharks today so I guess I can’t judge too much but exploring bear caves sounds sketchy. They’re for sure not home I’m guessing ?

To be honest I'm not sure if the bears ever called them home. You can see how a beer would be comfortable taking a snooze in them. Not sure if the constant human traffic keeps them away or if they are somehow snagged away. Black bear really don't like interacting with humans.
