Damn. Whoever still says this looks like Mx Bikes is absolutely frikkin delusional and has never played a second of MXB. People have to remember that this is still only the early version. The footage earlier this year specially with the shaky front made me worry first, but this is already night n day. I'm hyped.

On the last monthly update they said working on the stiff rider is the next big working point. So they're obviously aware.

Like scaling and speed/pacing looks on point imo.

Yes, this is finally a promising update. I think people just see the first person cam and relate it to MXB, but it does appear to be a step in the right direction from that game for sure. I like how it looks like you can break the rear tire loose on the ground. The scaling of the tracks looks really balanced between still fun to play but not overly massive too.

Yeah, I can't disagree....

The flaw in your statement is this "early version" is what, almost two years in?

Almost two years is absolutely nothing for developing a game like this. They obviously fucked up by settting a delusional release date from the beginning, that's on their part and everyone has the right to complain about that. They shouldn't have done that, I think a release date was mainly needed to get a kickstarter rolling and get funds etc. But 2025 as I said was absolutely delusional.

But I think some people don't realise what goes into a game like this. And yes, this is an early version. This won't be a "buy and forget" game like every other MX game out there. Thing will be updated for years. They will never stop working on physics etc even after release. That's what people have to realise. The Game is expected to last like MX bikes/MX Sim but with an actual team behind it. That at least is the plan.

You speak as though you are involved in this game, just stating things in the future as pure fact.

I agree it looks great. The rollout has been terrible and they have focused on the wrong things many times.

I paid my money up front and I'm looking forward to the game. Whenever it comes out. Game development is an insane process, I understand that.

They've had turnover with devs and other things that make it look even worse from the outside. I don't know how you can be so sure of the future when the present with this game seems so unsure.

They've obviously underdelivered on what was promised but a good game is a good game and this looks so much better than any of the other arcade/console games we've had.

It's looking really good. If they would release a demo with even one of the small practice tracks I would spend hours on that.

Lastest update looks good. The bike reacts so much better and the Rider looks more loose but need more work.

Looks promising...

Hats off to them, that’s looking really, really good! Can’t wait to see some laps round a national style track with banners etc

You nailed it. We all want the best game and that is what they promised. TBH, I'm not worried about the timeline as long as it's in the somewhat near future but this type of update is what everyone has been begging for for years now. I know it's a large upgrade to the last one but we should not get lost in "it looks way better than before" than what their goal is. We still need to see active track deformation and how the physics react to ruts/bumps. But this type of update shows progress is being made and that is a good thing so I will temper my critiques on them for a while now since they've actually shown improvement in gameplay. They need to focus on the core of the game; how it feels to play, not trackside objects or 3D scanned tracks. The bike sounds are excellent, the physics seem to be improving, all that is great. But we cannot fall into "this is good enough" and expect drastic changes once the game is released.

I had basically given up on the future of this game with their lack of actual gameplay improvements but with this they've got me excited again. I just hope this isn't the end product.

Ok, this looks awesome (1st person view). If they make sure it's playable on GeForce Now, I will buy a copy, if not... I might cry a bit lol.

The new gameplay looks good. It did occur to me while watching the video that proper track deformation might be asking too much of smaller studios. How would people feel if track deformation wasn't created in real time by the riders, but was randomly generated for each moto?

I can imagine a system where, let's say, Southwick has 5 preset versions of the ruts and bumps, and you don't know which one you'll get before moto 1. Then for moto 2, it's the same version but the ruts and bumps are deeper and harder to navigate.

As someone who has no idea how to make a video game, it sounds easier that trying to get real time track deformation to work. It would also offer a way for AI riders to be more realistic. If you know where the lines are going to be, you could get the AI to ride defensively or aggressively. You could also have it so on one version of Southwick the inside lines are fastest, and for another the outside are fastest.

I think this could keep the game feeling fresh for longer and would solve the issue of MX games having piss weak AI riders.

The twitching from the front end is my only real concern with what I've seen throughout these updates. Maybe it's not as impactful as it looks, but from both ends of the spectrum beginner>advanced, that's not a fun game physic to have to battle. @Riesenberg448 if you need a test rider, I've still got a controller laying around somewhere.

Apparently using brakes, having ruts and braking bumps are an impossible task. No game has ever captured that aspect of moto that I've seen or played.

The animation of the latest MTG video of the guy hitting the insides looks fantastic. Now having a rut to lay into would be awesome. Depending on your lean angle weather you pop out or over steer would be sweet.

The dynamic deformation I could see being a nightmare to realistically recreate. But at this point you just need premade track conditions that mimic real conditions that reward playing the game like you ride.

and when games create ruts, They are more like split lanes 🤣
