Risk Racing customer service

In an age where customer service seems like a thing of the past, when an industry company goes above and beyond, I think it is only fair to share.  In the fall of 2024, I used some of the contingency money I earned to buy a Risk Racing electronic starting gate. 
I never even opened the box until the spring of 2025, and only used it a handful of times before putting it away in my shed for the winter.  This spring, I pulled it out of the shed and plugged in the battery, but it was dead.  I called Risk, and told my story to a nice lady over the phone.  Even though the gate was out of warranty by 3/4 of a year, she told me to fill out the warranty request on their website and she’d see what she could do.  I didn’t even fill out the form for over a week.  Much to my surprise, I got an email returned to me with a tracking number for my new battery along with an email explaining what to do to keep the battery from dying prematurely again (don’t let it die completely, don’t store it in extreme heat or cold, if you aren’t using it, you should still charge it once in a while).  
They would have been well within their rights to tell me to pound sand, but they didn’t.  I can recommend Risk Racing as a great company without hesitation.  My starts have improved since buying the gate, and I’m sure they’d be even better if I pulled it out of the shed more frequently.
