Well, people who don’t support Trump are labeled “libs”, and by default, “trans”. The idea that one can be conservative AND against Trump escapes some folks’ comprehension.
That is one of the things that has fascinated me about the hard core supporters. They think You are either a Trump supporter 100%, or a Democrat.
I think with Trump, that's how he sees people, You either support him totally or he wants nothing to do with you.
It's very interesting to me. I think that is a big part of why his supporters are so loyal. If they truly believe there is no middle ground. They can't be against anything or they become the evil they are fighting against .

I still have hope. Every so often I'll see a glimmer of hope here and there.
Other than my older sister, I never talk politics outside of this site. I had hoped the bond of Moto could help bridge the divide of politics a little bit better than it has. I had hoped people would come into any conversation knowing we shared the bond of moto and that it could help make things not go the way they always do in the regular world. In the real world You have no idea who somebody is before You know them, but if You talk to somebody who rides moto You know that You already have a lot in common. When I first started to race, I was blown away by all the different types of people I became friends with through moto. Dr.'s, Roofers, A commercial pilot, a Marine special forces sniper, Investment bankers , a member of the band Godsmack, framers, landscapers , very rich and not so rich . People who would never have anything to do with each other were brought together by the love of one thing. And that's one of the most amazing things about motocross.
I refuse to totally give up hope of people coming together on the bigger things. And being less divisive, get back to being more respectful of others . I know there will always be opposing viewpoints. But I do hope that we can get back to a point where the majority of people can agree on what the facts are even when they do not like them. This period of "alternative facts" is not a good time for the country.
I have given up caring too much about getting a decent reply on here though. That I have given up hope on.
Isn't it fascinating that people hate Trump soo much they'd rather see criminal illegals on the street than admit it's good for the country to deport them? Or they will side with violent gang members because they hate Trump soo much. It would be great if they actually wanted a better America than just hate Trump. Sure would be nice to come together on some real issues. Sadly the hate dominates their world. Look at how they fought cleaning up Washington DC. They can't even acknowledge that so many black people are getting shot every weekend in Chicago because that would mean getting help from Trump, but "Black Lives Matter" unless they are shot by other black people I guess. So they will let black people get shot and die rather than let Trump help. Mind boggling isn't it? You don't have to support Trump 100% or even 70% to just see that some people would rather support criminals because of the hate in their heart.

They convince you the other side is irrational. And twist the way everything's reported to frame the other side as crazy as possible while framing their side as the good, rational side. They discredit other news and tell You you can only trust them. Trump started it, but it's being done by both major parties now to a degree.
I know I don't hate him, I just dislike the way he's doing the things I've expressed my opinions on. I would totally go to a comedy show if he quit and became a comedian, he can be really funny sometimes. He's an excellent marketer.

Most of us don’t “hate” Trump or disagree with most overarching policies. It’s a lack of clearly defined goals and mismanaged implementations that create concerns. Immigration reform and corralling Iran’s nuclear program are worthy endeavors tackled in ramshackle fashion. ICE became more of a problem for Trump than a solution, and Iran proved to be problematic. It’s these ham-fisted approaches that leave us lifelong conservatives shaking our heads.

Let's be clear, many of us ARE conservatives which comes from those wanting to "conserve" the good. You're so bent about the process that you fail to acknowledge we are both conservative. But your sacred "methods" have gotten us into such a quagmire by surrendering our power to the liberal democrats that the things we want to conserve have eroded away. You may not like the heavy hand of action but your sacred methods have lost me many of the things that were good in life. Like the ability to walk the streets in the evening (or even day time) without confrontation. The ability to start a business without a government official walking in every week to inspect some bullshit regulation. So while Trump's methods may be over the top on some issues, your way has proven a disaster. That being said, I wish you'd consider new ways to conserve the things that we grew up with that are good.

For me the most frustrating thing is the lack of anyone being able to say No to Donald and have him listen them. He unequivocally thinks he knows everything.
Good governance comes with checks and balances. Right now Trump is running unchecked and the damage it’s doing to our democracy will be felt for decades to come.
