There were a lot of complaints about Thunder Valley last week on the dirt and track prep. I'm curious what the consensus from the riders was for High Point?

It looked deep with some one liners in some sections but had multiple line options in many others.

This is probably odd to most, but it is so nice seeing tracks like High Point surrounded by grass unlike Pala that looks like a construction site.

Looked good to me. I hate the rut cross tracks from the mid 2010’s.

Did you watch Matty B's post race track walk? Looked like tons of lines everywhere. Looked really rough, too

It hasn't rained a ton recently, I think the dirt was drier than it usually is this weekend so it had a hard base under ripped loam so it ended up with a mix of ruts and smoother hard pack.

It looked good to me. Nice mix of surfaces and lots of lines.

I was looking at it in a few spots and it was interesting. I felt like for a long time, they ripped it way too deep. Not just for pro day but for anything there. And I felt like this Sat it actually was pretty decent. It didn't seem like they went crazy, in most areas. The main spots that come to mind are from the turn before the tunnel, to the bottom of the staircase. They did a good job there. Up by the pits in that top corner/section and going back down the steep hill before the triple was prepped really nice. I've seen it dug deeper (way too deep) at some Am races that I've been there. It has been ridiculous at times. But they did decent this weekend. There were still some spots that got gnarly but that will happen. And also, anyone local to that area knows that the dirt and the weather in that area is just super tricky so it's going to be a challenge more often than not. You can bank on it being damp and soft i=early in the day and then it gets rough and very hard as the day goes on.

Although I know some ppl that raced yesterday and said it was maybe the best it's ever been. Only complaint was mid-day watering made it slick. So all in all, I think it was as good as could be expected.

I dunno, kinda looks like Lincoln Trail every race weekend.  Anyone that races there will back me up on this.

The G outs at High Point are something that should be experienced for all motocrossers.  The two big ones in the middle, I mean. It's  cool to slam into something that you know is all your bike can handle.

100% and one of the reasons I don't go there any longer.
