WMX - need to do better

I think it was just thunder valley because they went last. Having the WMX moto in the middle of 450 moto 1 and 250 moto 2 is definitely the way to go. 

FYI, here's the weekend schedule. I believe you can always find under the 'race link' posting for the week that is always pinned to the top of the forum. Just remember to check it out...WMX is listed.  

Time zones, TV broadcast priorities, weather can alter a weekend schedule, so helpful to check ahead. I do the same for F1 as time zones screw with a normal, regular start tine.

I know where to find the schedule. And the results. I must be some kind of genius. 

I also heard that the WMX was after the 2nd 250 moto on RDL and on the race broadcast. I must have bionic ears.

It appears that the WMX is a hit amongst the fans. Some good story lines, talent and speed. 
The class even attracted a large corporate sponsor in Synchrony. 
In my opinion, I would try to have one of their motos during the break of moto 1 and moto 2 of 250 and 450.  
Adding WMX only brings more exposure to the sport. 
Look at womens hockey or b-ball on the pro level. These ladies out there twisting the throttle have a lot more skill and are in better shape than these other ladies sports. 
I do know as I have been involved in all the sports Ive mentioned. 

They mentioned it closer to 15 times than 0. You just weren’t paying attention.

They could at least give them some decent race time instead of the amateur 5 laps format.

I was impressed with the amount of people that stayed to watch the women race at the track. 

Thanx Mav!!!! You know what I just noticed, there are no ladies fron the Northeast or New England area at all.

Boston to the track round trip @ 4 a gal is aprox 2,700.00 might hv something to do with it. I,ve seen in the past ne girls do some Canadian rounds.  

Is there an argument against them having the first moto of the day? WMX, 250, then 450? Seems like giving them the worst trac conditions of the day is stacking the odds against them without cause. 

It’s interesting that when they get their trophies the background has changed and there’s no monster girls (which would be kind of weird, should they get monster men? Or a mix?) They really did give them the short shrift this week. 

 

Needs to be 20+2. It's fun to watch but it's a bad look giving them triple crown moto length. Let's hope they evolve this until next year.

Probably not worth it to go to California then Colorado unless they're part of a team with support.

I think we will have a new participant at High Point. Colorado's Mayla Herrick turns 17 this Friday. She just missed being able to race at her home track. She looks fast on the practice track!

I assume because moto 1 of 250 and moto 2 of 450 was live on nbc. They didn’t take their intermission that they have started taking to have time to squeeze it in.

Monster's not the title sponsor of the WMX series, Synchrony is, hence the different background and no Monster chicks.

They interviewed a lady from Synchrony yesterday who it sounded like had a part in making this partnership manifest. 

It is a perfect time for more corporate sponsors to get on board. 
Streaming is up substantially, it sounds like attendance numbers are up also. 

Social Media must be a significant driver behind all this.  

Deegan had also brought a lot of new viewership.  You cannot deny this. 

Buttery, Nitro 199 has too.

This might be off topic but I don't know where else to put it haha but one thing I'm amazed at is how quickly the level in women's sport has raised in recent years, in the sports I follow anyway (surfing and mx mainly still can't watch them box)

I dunno if you can just credit it to exposure but it's pretty incredible!

As a person in attendance at the race. and stayed to watch the WMX.

Wmx was..........Fucking exciting lol, Those women have ovaries of steel and are fast asf! 

Marketing needs to up the womens side of the sport handsdown. My father who is in his 60s was absolutely impressed by them. That may not mean alot to some of you guys, but he was always a harsh critic of women's sport's.

Id like to see them added earlier in the day however especially if they run 10 laps or less. I say give the women two 15min motos the same day as the men. or they move the whole schedule up and compress practice schedule.

Start practice and quail's at 0700, maybe even 0600 

opening ceremonies at 1000..

1015am - Either Men's 250s or Wmx

so on and so forth. 

end the day at 1700.

Either way womens sports have been impressive this year from WMX, to PWHL, WNBA, Collegiate Softball, I'm a fan and supporter.
