Wtf man.
Reneaux also. That's his 3rd or 4th mechanical this season? Crazy
Welp this title is over. I guess the only silver lining is that maybe this title fight is a little less in his head at Thunder Valley if he has a 70 point lead now

No fucking way. 3 mechanical DNFs this year and it's only round 8. What the fuck is going on at HRC

The first dnf was a fluke, the other 2 are on HRC.

Yeah, I was just letting my mind flow when I was typing, the 3 dnfs were to emphasise his bad luck, but 2 mechanicals on HRC is still insane

After Herlings' last mechanical I was already thinking title is probably Coenen's unless he gets hurt. This just cements it

Anyone know how many technical/mechanical failures Gajser had in his entire time on the HRC 450?

How many mechanical DNFs did Herlings have on KTM? How many did HRC have with Gajser or Fernandez?

If Herlings didn't have bad luck he'd have no luck at all

I only know of some that were caused by incidents that Gajser had, but nothing like what Herlings is going through.. that is kinda insane

I was thinking that myself, I can’t remember a time the KTM just stopped on Herlings, a couple of years ago he ripped the foot peg off in France.

Herlings has to be up there with the most unlucky riders in history. So many season ending injuries from small crashes, now this crap when he's the only guy who looks capable of keeping Coenen hoenst. Moto gods are cruel

He had that chain derail in Sweden that prompted him to go Ironman that year. Other than that, last year in the mud in Portugal perhaps?

Yes, the chain snapped that day & I believe the bike died in the slop.

Needham was only his practice mechanic. Race weekend has been the same. The woman and Furlotti.

Track looks almost one line

I just watched the Latvia MXPG highlights on YouTube.  The track looked like it had lots of different lines to me.

But, I counted only 19 riders on the line for the 2nd MX2 moto and only 25 riders on the line for the 2nd MXGP moto.  That is pretty pathetic.  I remember when World Championship Moto-cross GP's had 40 riders on the line, in the 125, 250, and 500 classes.

The racing today was better with 20 riders than your national yesterday with 40 riders, just saying!

I hate to say it but he's right. It's pathetic that riders have to pay to ride in a world championship, some even have to pay to be on a team. I don't think Reese wanted to bash the series itself, it's a product of greedy promoters and it will only get worse in the future. Obviously we still have some rounds with incredible full starting gates but still.. also too many riders in the EMX class because it's easier and less expensive than doing the full Mx2 schedule.

I will take your word for that.  As I wrote, I only watched the Latvia highlights on YouTube.  I did watch the entire Hangtown US National on Peacock yesterday, and the only really good battle I remember was in the first 250 moto with Shimoda trying to get around Romano.  Romano did a great defensive job keeping Shimoda behind him.  And that was not due to a lack of lines on the track.
