Looking like both brothers will have the red plate in both classes and coming to rumble with our boys in two weeks!! So excited and really cool to see guys that just want to race period!! Some heads will be turned as these boys are hauling the mail right now!!
Risky.
It also puts the brothers in a tough spot- if they go all out and try to do well, the risk of injury is higher with all the deep ruts that will form at Thunder Valley.
If they do the right thing and just try to learn the system and the track and lay up, they will be labeled as not as good as AMA racers- Look at what American fans said about Prado last year, a 4 time world champion.
Oh and add the 5300 ft elevation to the mix, this might be interesting to see in person- I need to go to this race I think…
I'm so excited to see them at Southwick. 450 bro will just add to the excitement of that class and I think 250 bro will pull a 'Herlings at Ironman' and smoke this current crop of 250 guys in the sand. This really is shaping up to be the best summer of MX in a long time!
A few other European sand specialists will be there as well. It will be a lot of fun!
Watching Lucas right now and the way he is riding I don’t feel he needs to go all out as this kid is fast as hell!!

I love that they are coming but no way I’m letting them if I’m ktm.
Who else ?
It was written in their 2026 contract.
vD Moosdijk, Garcia (although I don't think he's a sand specialist) but I don't think either will be near the podium. But Garcia will prob be fast qualifyer from B practice
Sacha coenen should absolutely prison rape our 250 class.
Also his teammate Cannon will be there.
As if the field isnt stacked enough.. man this year keeps getting better and better
I already knew for the Bud Racing boys. But they are not "sand specialists".
That's how I feel. All the talk is about Lucas. Got to see Sasha at Ironman His results dont reflect his speed. Gotta keep the rubber side down, though
That makes it even more impressive. There’s a lot of risk in these races outside of the regular MXGP schedule, look at Herlings broken femur riding an expedition race on an 85 when he was in MX2.
I wad last at Southwick when Dungey couldn’t start his Suzuki. Really want to see Lucas vs Prado Jett Hunter and I hope a recovered Tomac.
