Been there, done that, it was awful, but now it’s all good. 

Pro racers aren’t immune to the same stresses and strains us normally folk are. 

I’ll be rooting for Jason when he returns.

Not for nothing, but my brother was a CO at Folsom prison for 25 years, he said every time a dude caught an ass whooping the dude that did the whooping made that exact statement, and the dude that got his ass whooped nodded in agreement.

He’s still a scum bag. No charges bc his wife dropped charges. 

I like Jason as a racer but I’m not buying his story. At least be man enough to admit you made a mistake. This is just my opinion which doesn’t mean anything. 

Gonna be interested to see how this plays out from here onwards, Jason was my favorite racer ever, but domestic violence is one of the most disgusting and gross things you could do to someone. Really hoping these were emotion based accusations and held no water but I’m nervous that might be naive

Hate to say it but there’s obviously a correlation between his lack of self-control and anger management on the track and in real life.

We’ve seen him be the most aggressive rider besides Barca and more than happy to screw up his race to get back at another rider that “wronged” (see Malcolm Stewart in 2022). Not surprised he would let his emotions get the best of him again resulting in him losing his cool and lashing out at his wife, the same way he’s done countless times at the races (helmet grabs with Jett, Vince Friese debacle albeit justified since it’s Friese)

Actually it was the DA that dropped the charges…I have no opinion either way but let’s keep the facts straight

Didn’t the DA drop it because the victim filed an affidavit of non prosecution and they said the victim wasn’t cooperating with them to provide evidence?

Does anyone here KNOW what happened, with all the possible nuance, in order to make an informed opinion? 

It could be really bad, or it could be much ado about nothing, or anywhere in between. 

I don’t know man….and to be honest it’s not important to me…I don’t know Jason or his wife so I have zero judgment on it…

He's apologized, charges were dropped, time to move on. None of us will ever know what actually happened,  nor is it our business to know.

Real men know how to forgive.

According to the police report he “hit her in the side and grabbed her neck” and “has a history of domestic violence”…Sound pretty specific …

But yeah VitalMx - all good, he apologized , let it go, time to move on..just a misunderstanding, too quick to judge..give him a dirt bike let’s go!   Only thing missing is blaming his wife- but that’s coming..

I think a more specific apology noting he has been getting help, wants to make amends, committed to being a better man ..etc would have been better.

Hit is a relative term when a woman is touched. They hold all the cards and they know it.

Exactly, which makes this new statement pure comedy. He claims it’s all a misunderstanding now, when before he said clear as day that he accepted responsibility for hitting his wife, and being arrested for it more than once. He has a documented criminal history of domestic violence. Growing up with an abusive father, I’ll never accept a man hitting a woman for any reason. I still smile thinking of the ass whooping he got when I got old enough, may he rest in piss. Straight pussy behavior.
