Any word on his recovery process? Does he have another series overseas that is beginning soon, preventing him from staying a little extra longer since he is missing the beginning of his MotoConcepts YZ250 USA tour? I sure would like to watch him ride!

I think DV12 said possibly the last 3 SXs he was scheduled to race.

I sure hope he will be able to race atleast 3 SXs. I was really looking forward to see him make the main event.

"attempt" or just show up. It ruffles people that he gets more attention than anyone else and he hasn't even tried yet!

I'm not trying to be a downer, just a realist. I'd say the same for Bubba, Villopoto, etc. No one's guaranteed a spot in the main.

Way tougher competition here and the tracks are more like arenacross over there. I really hope he makes the mains if he races but it will be tough.

I d like to see a top 5 guy put the 2 stroke on the box! Yamaha and Ktm have some good candidates! If they are nt in the title hunt, whats to lose, and it would be good exposure for the factory!

Actually, you didnt ask a question at all, you made a statement, it wasnt even an open ended question.

Seriously, nobody cares if he makes a main or not. You guys act as if though its the first time this has ever been done or attempted. So he makes it, BIG FREAKIN DEAL! Do you actually think your going to hear a 2 stroke amongst 4 strokes inside a stadium? Do you actually think your gonna smell premix from ONE bike with a pack of race gas burnin 4 strokes?

I find it funny how you guys always say, no one cares, but here you are posting. LMFAO. You do realize caring can go two different ways. It obviously bothers you guys for some reason. If it didn't, you'd just leave it alone. There are a ton of posts I don't even bother opening to see what it is about. Because I could care less. And yes, I did ask a question dumbazz. It says "name a rider." That means for the mentally challenged, asking guyb to name someone.

It seems an underlying premise in this whole thing is whether or not a two-stroke can still be competitive in America professional racing. The truth is, they can. If Stewart, Dungey, Canard, Villopoto, and Reed were on smokers, they would still be up front. The only difference, I believe, is that the guys finishing behind them would be a little closer. It's a big claim, but if Andrew Short can do this well on a 350, then a works 250cc smoker would do just fine.

Thanks. Seems odd it got quiet so fast...
Kinda like when I asked the 4 stroke guys to agree magazines should run full shootouts with whatever an amateur can race legally in each class. All that was heard was chirp chirp chirp from the crickets. The 25 pager came to a stop. hmmmm???

^^^ nobody likes talking to a box of rocks. If it keeps happening you might want to look in the mirror.

I mean you act like whatever you say is word and if everybody doesn't agree with you they belong on the short bus. Just try being objective for once and you might actually find someone who wants to conversate with you.
Propaganda!

Yeah.... SURE you'd say the same thing about those guys Guy B. Is that why you've never seen fit to make that point when someone here anticipated a finish, or by extension a start in the main, for a thumper humper???

Nope, because vital loves thumper humpers, and the people who make and advertise the plumper thumpers they hump. Not to mention the heaps of "sucker" badges you can buy and bolt on.

But a lot of people are very interested in Cedric because they'd like to see some dirt bike racing again. And who could blame them? Can anyone who remembers what it was like to see James Stewart race that KX250 REALLY be entertained watching the poor guy flog that motorized mini fridge he's riding now???

"No one's guaranteed a spot in the main."

Do they still have the rule where you get an "In" once if you are a prior champion? Wasn't sure if they had done away with that.
I'll have to go look again where you had said JS "attempt to make the main." I couldn't recall you ever saying that. Ha ha. Joke.

Cedric Soubeyras raced a few SX Lites West races in 2009. He made the main in at least a couple of races. In one race, he was in 8th ahead of Dungey until he wrecked. Maybe he can make a main again.

Says the guy with the very accurate username. Wink

And for the record, I believe there still are provisional spots available for guys in the top ten who fail to make the main. So my suggestion that it's conceivable that James might not make the main is not 100 percent accurate.

But, I remember seeing James on a KX250...and a very long, very bleak summer where they were the last manufacturer aboard the two-strokes. And him having to flog the heck out of it, trying to keep up with the 450s. And things like crashing out at Binghamton.

I also remember when the topic of Cedric racing a two-stroke over here first came up, and the question was, would he make the main? Maybe he feels differently now, but does anyone remember what DV's reply was?

http://www.vitalmx.com/forums/MotoRelated,20/Cedric-Soubeyras,1132411?p…

As for my reply on the same topic, I said, "Over here? Early in the season before the field gets thinned by injuries? Not a chance. But I'd love to see him prove me wrong."

Post a reply to: How is Cedric doing???
