Ill take the ride! I know that H&H has nothing to do with Kawasaki (considering they buy their own bikes from Jax Motorsports) but I wonder if they would let Team Kawi "borrow" Hot Sauce for a few rounds.
Not going to happen. They would be more likely to let Blose make the move, but I doubt that would happen either.

Good for the riders for turning down these fill in rides. Why race a select few races for free with little to zero testing for FREE when kawi and other teams are receiving millions of sponsorship dollars? If kawi expects a free rider they need to grow some balls and take a chance on someone like Borky or Rutherford. Just my opinion though

What's the point of trying to put somebody out there just to have another green bike at the gate ? The French goons posting comments on motoverte.com have been suggesting every mother's son who can't speak English this last week, but the only available Frenchie who could do justice to a factory ride is Aranda, and he and Bud decided back in the Fall that they would not travel to Socal this winter, so end of story. OK, Richier is German Arenacross champion, but 25 second laps in a tiny hall are a different ballgame to AMA SX and the only reason he beat Soubs in the points was because he got better starts through the series as a whole; the Main there lasts SIX minutes and some of the races didn't see a single pass because they are so tight. Those guys racing Germany are on Jason Thomas' level in their own ball park but not in real SX, and Jason can no longer guarantee a transfer to the Main. When Soubs was chasing down Richier after washing out at Dortmund, he was a second and a half a lap faster on a 25 second lap so just imagine how that would translate in AMA. Fisher can be glad Richier turned down the deal because he would not have qualified for the Main if he had taken up the offer. That sort of promotion would negate all of the good publicity Kawi is getting from RV.

After Aranda who has declined the ride (not ridng at the moment, focused on GP, sponsored by Rockstar) it's now another French rider Florent Richier who says no thanks. He's a regular on the German SX and won the Dortmund final.

Sounds pretty crazy those guys are turning the ride down but I think they are a bit scared of the depth of the field and the pressure of filing for Weimer. They have everything to loose. The 450 class is so deep that those guys would struggle to get a top 10. All they risk is injuring themselves or losing credibility by finishing 17th on a factory bike...

Only French remaining possibility is Cyril Coulon...
Could also come down to not getting paid to ride in USA? Things have changed a little since the World crisis. That is why you only see one former World MX Champion (Rattray) racing in AMA at the moment. Hell, he's just about the only GP rider doing it apart from part time Roczen.

Marvin Musquin isn't a former world champ?

He's a REIGNING world champ!

You're right that they're probably not going to get large salaries, but that's because the team is already paying someone who is out hurt. It's not that they don't have money.

At least in the USA teams actually pay the promised contracts to their racers...

Yes, sometimes when a team GOES BANKRUPT people don't get paid, and this includes suppliers, not just racers.

But you know as well as I do that there are teams in the GPs that make it a habit not to pay their riders, and they've been around in many cases for decades and are still around now.

CAS Honda was a good one for not paying on time, or not at all, that team isn't around anymore. Most teams pay the riders. Same deal as in US is a rider isn't performing, then his contract is often cut. I know Reed and Pourcel are over the moon about what they can earn in an American team..........

All jokes aside, there are good teams and bad teams in both AMA and FIM. Funny enough many riders who complain about not getting paid have problems with teams on both sides of the Atlantic.

It's easier for GP riders to cherry pick an easier series than it is to come over and race the best. They've learned.

Name times when a rider wasn't performing in the US and his contract was cut.

The difference between here and there is that if a team here isn't going to pay, they sign a contract with a rider that says they aren't going to pay a salary - they don't sign a contract promising one thing and then delivering something else.

Your example did that for over a decade as part of their business plan. They aren't around anymore? They're also not alone in that activity.

Oh, and the reason some AMA riders have had that trouble on both sides of the Atlantic is because they wouldn't go to the GPs at all in the first place if there was a ride for them in the USA.

No I don't. I'm not considered a "journalist" whom people expect to know the facts and not be biased. Something you've failed at for years. I'm just a fan of the sport.

Might be added that CAS put a lot more into the sport than you ever have Cox. The owner of the team probably invested millions of his own money for his passion for the sport. That should also be pointed out. But sure, riders should get paid, both in US and Europe. Unfortunately the World crisis has made it difficult for riders, more so in America than in Europe.

Your a scribe? So you lost most of your importance with the invention of printing? You can just admit you have no idea who you are. I'd suggest the EthicsAdvice Line for Journalists.
