Wow, very slick.  I'm curious how they mated up the e-start and EFI to the old-school motor.  Also curious about what looks like an OEM  two-stroke cylinder and head mated to a complete CRF450 lower end.  The thing is very close to looking like it rolled off the assembly line in Japan!

Quite simple; it's NOT the old-school motor.

😉

It's been out for a while, 2 years, I think.

I missed that the first post had a vid.  Did watch the second one posted and amazing that the bottom end is billet.

Beautiful bike. Can’t get around the price though, no thanks.

I've a mate that's got one coming - a whole bike from Tomasin - soon.

With the set up he's ordered, it's , out the door in Italy, a smidge over $30K AUD for him.

And that sum, is as of nothing to him. He's getting a KTM version later as well.

And, a few of his / my other mates, will probably get one or two, each as well.

I've got some well off friends, I have. I'm the (absolute) 'pauper' of the group - but, I get to ride their various 'toys', quite often.

This is just bland as hell.  I want to see an engineering team push the boundaries of physics, cooling, combustion, and fuel to arrive at 300+ hp.  Liquid nitrogen or liquid oxygen cooling, metalized fuels, etc.  In other words, take the best HRC and SpaceX engineers and give them a blank checkbook and see what they can do in two years on a skunkworks type project.  80 hp out of a 500 2-stroke is 1960’s tech.

I want to see a vtwin 250. Brc has built a 600cc for r6 chassis. A really good rc valve cr250 cylinder would be nice too, 300cc range. Those would sell, that engine also has a large crankcase and would lend itself well to a big bore cylinder. Also, many are still around ....

"300+ hp"

The rear tire would be shredded by the first corner.
