I can empathize with Steve. As a fan of the sport all the rider bashing and name calling makes me sad. Sad for our sport. The sport that used to be like being in an exclusive "club". A sport where we waved at passing pickups with bikes in the back whether we knew who the occupants were or not.

As far as outside influences pushing Gibby to clean this place up, I highly doubt there is any pressure. I haven't been told of any new "rules" about nicknames so I'm guessing Steve hasn't either. That said, I've edited or deleted threads and posts that were deemed over the line, especially threads bashing or being hateful of ANYONE'S family or friends. Racism gets you clicked post-haste.

Kind of a crazy thread, now I can speak about crazy. Had folks say I was going to do awful shit without proof because I don't act like what they thought is normal. There are ignorant/racist people in every part of the world. I'm sure they participate at Vital, as well as other boards.

I don't know of any racist posters, but if they show up we have responsible people that can deal with them.

From some of the posts in this thread, it sounds like there have been racist driven posts and or threads. I'm all for sending those people down the road, never to return.

99.9% of the rest of us enjoy giving each other a hard time, and wouldn't in a million years put Bubbles and racist intent in the same zip code.

You will probably not reply here, but I think there's a difference to mock black people in comparison to Texans, or rednecks etc. Me as a white person can basically become whatever I want since my color will not be a "real" issue. If being a Texan or redneck or worse scenario a combo and I felt that was a problem/burden I could always move or get out of my misery while a black guy will always be black and their history in being offsprings from slaves and shit gives them tons of slack in my book. The constant reference used against them as in the N-word, monkey etc is related to them being former slaves or that they should know their place as second rated after whites...

The often mocked intolerance, radical opinions associated with the south is something that is very easy to get out from as long as you don't keep being intolerant or radical...

No one mentioned monkeys or Michael until you brought all this up. I don't think you help the situation at all and Bubba don't need your help. What have you done for the Black community lately? Go to the hood and find someone you think is a good person and help them become a better person. You must be pretty successful and sometimes seem educated, show them how you did it, then tell to show someone else. I'm an expert at holding grudges and i can tell you it's unhealthy, some how i think we can learn to move forward together. Love your not so crazy but a bit different from everyone else friend Crash. I think some people need to lighten up to be honest.

OH....and you can count me in as one of the people that didn't know Michael jacksons chimps name was "Bubbles".

James' butt patch of bubblicious is where I thought it all started from.

This board as of late seems to be going down hill as far as I'm concerned.
