GH has NOT (had to edit, what I get for typing at work) been concrete for years now.

Not sure about people bringing their own grate. Lame if that is the case.

Second moto was Barcia, Nichols, Drake Ross, Rodbell

Overall to Nichols, Drake, Barcia I think.

Concrete vs grate is like the worst disadvantage ever. Probably worse than holeshot device or no device. Lol

They may have a concrete pad. But they were 100% starting on dirt today. I saw the mechanics hammering in their riders starting grates before they lined up. So weird because they weren’t even all the same grates.

It’s sad that the track and promoters can’t get it together for a national or GP.  Maybe they could figure out an MXoN…

That triple that Barcia is doing is awesome!!

there was a MXDN accounced once around the time the USGP ran there on the early 2010's, , and it just went away,   my guess is Bud pissed off them as well,

As I recall, the GP’s had no spectator attendance and they bailed…. The MXoN would not have that problem.

But it was a fun watch today, track looked good, but not too difficult.

Enzo T was rippin out there, Kawi should do something with him, give him some backdoor help on a 450. Would’ve been cool to see Marchbanks and Tickle out there, Tickle was rippin in MattyBs practice video. I would’ve thought the defending/retired Canadian champ would’ve been front more too.

Not only did he ride well, he got pulled by Barcia and Colt then regrouped and came back.  Kid is no joke

I miss going to the National at GH, such an epic track.

Those hills are nearly vertical, funny how tame they look on video. You have to see it in person to understand.

Yeah, you have to use your hands on the chain link fence to pull on while you walk up the hill.

Glen Helen not being on the national circuit is by far the biggest stain on DC’s legacy including MavTV

It is a great bike for an amateur.

Nice kid and a nice family. I’ve seen him put in way more laps at GH than anyone else, so I think he’s better there than anywhere else. I want to see him more on east coast tracks.

Couple of thoughts, Ferrandis getting bad starts on a factory Ducati against a bunch of privateers on 250fs is very on brand. Colt is one of the biggest headcases in the sport, he straight up beat Jet for a sx title but decides to constantly roll around outside the top 10 because he can't get out of his own way mentally. Barcia looks extra sloppy on the bike, I know that's kind of his style but I dunno it doesn't quite look the same as before? Hopefully he keeps it on two wheels this summer and finally Phils pass up the hill in moto 2 was pretty sweet for an old guy.

I been wondering where he's been all year. He handled everyone at LL last year. Amazing technique

Thought he broke his femur twice in a row. Maybe I'm imagining that...

Mitch won’t give Temmerman a ride but he’ll run old McAdoo out there to go 13-DNF at Pala

I was there in 2010, me and my buddy were about 5 percent of the attendance it felt like. It was crazy how few people were there.

I’m actually a huge McAdoo fan but sadly it’s time to give one of these younger dudes a shot.  Hiring the same 4 dudes who get hurt every season isn’t working and a couple of these amateurs are ready

Correct.  Second time was due to coming back a bit too early- it broke in a trough between jumps and not from a crash!  He has heart, no doubt about that.

I attended the last USGP at Glen Helen and I was shocked at how the hardcore SoCal mx fans refused to attend it. More than a few of my friends opted to go race elsewhere rather than attend. It was a shame.
