No, it's not a one lap race. Average lap time is closer, but that excludes lap one.

straight up means that both left the start gate and the winner is just that, the straight up winner. fall or not, thats part of racing. as said in another thread, there is no trophy for the guy who would have won if he didnt crash!

Straight up usually means both guys don't crash. Stewart crashed and THEN villopoto passes. Not technically straight up if you ask me

So Stewart hasn't won a single race this year straight up. In fact this year he is unable to beat RV straight up. He's 0 for 3, I guess Stewart only wins when RV falls and hands it to him. By the way I'm pretty sure TC, RD, and CR will all be fighting for wins within the next few weeks. They're all right there, the pieces haven't quite fallen into place yet.

Straight up=Gate drops, first guy to the flag wins Straight up. Every time.

Sorry, sometimes I forget.

OK, let me get back on track.

Fastest single lap=fastest man on the planet when it's James Stewart.

Fastest single lap doesn't mean anything when it's RV,Reed,Dungey, or anyone else.

Fastest 20 lap average isn't always the winner when the winner is someone other than James Stewart.

Once again since I haven't said it this year yet. I like Stewart, it's some of his fans that I hate.

This whole "straight up" thing is stupid.

I get that its just for conversation sake.

I assume whoever made it up meant two riders starting first and second through the first turn and racing to the checkers with neither one crashing. James may or may not have ever been beaten in that fashion. I don't know.

Every race is straight up no matter what happens.

A lot of you dudes bicker about needless bullshit. Straight up? Really let it go and just be stoked than there is an awesome top 4 ( maybe reeds in that group when he gets a start) that Stewart can't just walk away from like they're standing still! And the fire villopoto is riding with is making things super interesting...it's shaping up to be a great sx season!

I'd like to think if I was racing, and in 2nd place, I could pass the guy in 1st because I was faster than him,.....not because he crashed. Yes, my pressure might have forced him to crash, but still, I want to pass him knowing I was faster than him through the corner,....scrubbing over the triples or through the whoops,....that's just me.
I know when THAT happens that "HE" knows im the "MAN", and so does Everyone else,......STRAIGHT-UP! LOL!!!!

Cool story bro.

I was in the stadium, and RV easily was the fastest guy, you could visibly see him relax and drop his effort a little once he got out front. He only went as fast as he needed to to win.

So what was last week? JS shows RV a wheel and RV caves under the pressure? Cause thats what you make it sound like. So are two fastest riders both check under pressure. All I can say is it's going to be a great season.

RV forced a mistake for sure. Stewart is going to back to the old Stewart and just check the fuck out. Take the chance and just go for it. Right now he is dicking the dog and letting these guys hang around. RV is feeling good. There's no doubt this is a 2 dog race. Dungey,Canard and the rest of the field are in the way.
The Old Stewart won't get a championship this year so I think he better stick to what he's doing...plus you don't seem to to pay attention RD Canard and even CR's times were much closer this race as they are dialing in better each week....Give Trey an LCQ diet and a crash free practice session and he just may be able to give JS hell for all 20 (which lets not forget is new to him)...and I am sure RD has more fuel than he needed after the battles he had. I asked you to mark my words re villo before this began did you?you were saying it was a 1 horse race back then remember?

Well Mark these..The other guys that you say are in the way will pull off a "straight up win" before the season ends.

there isnt anybody out there right now that has more hunger in there eyes than rv

You guys fail to remember that James hasnt raced supercross for over a year. And Imagine how much pressure JS7 is riding with, with RV being the underdog it's way easier. JS7 will win the championship

Fuck that special little stat, Someone who throws it away trying to run a pace he can't handle is getting BEAT....RV ran him down and passed him from MIDPACK...THEN Stew went down, RV is the man to beat this year hands down ! Stew fans better be prepared for a Mcgrath like fall from the top, because its coming.
MC like fall from the top?

Bubba is a bunch of sx wins and sx titles away from where MC was... so... MC was, is, and always will be the "top", anybody else can only fall from a few rungs lower than that...

and don't forget about MC in 97 on the suzi..... he didn't look very good at all, and finished second in the points to Fro, only to pwn the field in following seasons aboard yamaha's.... maybe this year is Bubba's equivalent to MC's 97..... who knows...

Oh so villi was fastest but after he caught James then james gapped his ass before he wrecked? Please go watch it again. RV won and that's that, he was the better man last night. Just don't say stupid shit.

hey dude, I'm not saying stewart isn't fast, because he was flying too, but I was there, and Villopotto was the fastest guy in the main event last night. I don't care what the TV showed, I watched villo coming through the pack, he was only on stewart's wheel for 1 lap and then stewart lost it, and then dungey could never pressure him and villo just rode smart to the finish. James was flying trying to catch back up, but Villo wasn't going all out trying to keep a huge gap, he was relaxed and just putting in laps.

James lost, did he lose "Straight up"? Idk I mean its not like RV passed him and pulled away. He passed James after he fell. Then James started catching up...regardless its been a good season so far even with not so good tracks.

Just hoping RD can start getting up there...he had to have gotten a little more confidence this week after running James and RV's pace the majority of the race.
he caught stewie got held up by dungey and was closing in again.......oh yeah and he got a 12th place start.......he was in 9th after a lap.......the best stewie could do from there is 3rd.......you could see it all over stewie's face that he knows he wont run away anymore

stewie was making all kinds of mistakes during the race too......idk if its bike setup or his panic mode.......RV is the man to beat and is riding the most consistent and the fastest

If Stewy is toast what is Reed, Windham, Dungey etc...?

For now RV and Stewy are close, lets hope it stays that way.
