I assume you mean SMX?
No, he would not be ineligible. He needs to finish top 20 in combined points or win at least one MX moto to qualify for SMX playoffs.

Does Jett pass Tomac in all time Pro Motocross wins this year?
Hard to imagine he doesn't, only needs to win 9 overalls this season.
Well I just saw your duck herding meme for the first time.
I'll admit it gave a chuckle. 🤣

Already needed a revision and hardware removal? Not too many things left to do before it's ankle fusion time.
Yes, I meant SMX, I made a dumb.
I’ll take the under.
“Jett doing Jett things” was the quote from Lars. He’s not running or cutting or jumping. There might be some rust come Pala but I bet it gets knocked off real quick.
I tried to read your thread but gave up - I couldn't find any comedy but did find a lot of subjective opinions and downvotiing
I can’t find a SINGLE interview of Lars post Salt Lake!? I wanted to hear his thoughts on Jett recovery! earlier in the year they were teasing Jett would be back for Supercross, now it’s seeming like he won’t even be ready for Pala! Or at least he won’t be close to 100%. I hope I’m wrong!
Jett spent $50,000 alone on a hyperbaric chamber to help his recovery and he never left California until Nashville even though he was supposed to be doing VIP’s. Everyone was saying Jett was doing the recovery 100% to the T. When I saw him walking with a limp at Salt Lake I was like oh shit.
This was at Denver https://racerxonline.com/2026/05/05/jett-lawrences-injury-recovery-jetts-already-starting-to-go-jett-speed
Maybe not comedy to you but it was to me to have so many little ducks all call bullshit as if I'm making shit up or don't know what I'm talking about, and then only for the news/details of the setback to surface over the following weeks. Classic Vital to pitch fork the messengers who break the news here. Regarding the downvotes, when someone brought that up previously I asked for 46 permanent downvotes in my signature for every one of my posts just to make the kids happy here, but Vital won't do it. Bummer.
Seems like a lot of curious people wondering what's going on with Jett....should I provide another update?
Nobody called you out, they mocked you for doing the standard moto bro adjacent thing of saying "I know something you don't know!!!" but then never actually saying what that is. And for using AI to write it for you.
He was limpin on the TV pretty good I don’t think he will be ready. If Jett’s brother can get over his massive choke out last race maybe he can have a chance to beat him.
That gimpy walk was hard to watch. He was walking like an old man with busted legs or someone with cerebral palsy. If there’s any risk of that gate becoming permanent he should take the summer off and get that thing perfect first. Anyone know if that will correct over time with this injury? Holy shit.
Go back and read it again it's there unless people deleted their posts which happens often, even Maverick posted some shit too saying "don't make shit up and post it". Did I really ever say "I know something you don't know" and you really think AI wrote that? How would AI know insider info? Come on truck, you are better than that.
Chill down, bruh
Pit Row
I can't and never have speculated on who's gonna win a race. Way to many variables. Have you guys ever even watched a race? Granted...Jett should win every time he lines up if talent and speed were the only factors considered...but they ain't.
Jett appears to be that lovable goofball that doesn't seem bothered by anything. But injuries...especially those that never quite heal can screw with a head...even if it's as thick as Jett's.
After seeing him limp and discuss the injury on the Sat broadcast- maybe best he put off coming back. Long career ahead to rush back and it wouldn’t surprise me if delays racing. We will see..
Jett wins a moto, maybe struggles in the other...
Everyone thinks "it's on".
Jett proceeds to grind the comp to dust as the Summer wears on.
That's my prediction.
I have a wager with my buddy, he takes Hunter, I get Jett. Season points total, no injury clause, only thing is Jett has to complete the first 3 races for it to go through. If he doesn’t because of the ankle issue then the bet is off. I’m worried about my money a little but I’m banking on Jett being an alien.
I don’t know much about that particular type of injury but after seeing the limping around and broadcast interview and him saying he doesn’t have full up & down range of motion in the foot I certainly wouldn’t chance going out there at this time, one minor get off that ends on foot impact does not sound like it would be a good thing at all for that foot in its current state.
High speed g-outs, air-to-flats, square edges, and deep holes are not his friend right now. Everything else is manageable but it comes with heavy inflammation and pain. The race pace intensity and conditions will be the test, which cannot be replicated at the test track.
Didn’t OShow say he’s been riding for two months?
Definitely one of the stranger PR strategies for a rider injury I can remember
Perhaps it was a Willy Wonka fake out and he's totally fine?
I had a similar injury back in 2016. Brutal recovery to say the least.
Took me years to recover and multiple surgeries to get to 80%. I still limp after a tough day.
He will be on the line but I’m certain he will be suffering big time after race weekends.
I've had similar injuries as well, with both feet/ankles. Multiple surgeries, hardware and fusions on both sides. I have limited up and down movement and no other movement (no side to side, ankle circles ect). I still ride and race but it's a bit different. Still limp after long days and in mornings. I don't know this as a fact, but I don't think Jett's was quite as bad as mine by the descriptions I've read, but still its a tough recovery with these types of injuries.
Hoping he's good and back for all MX. Sometimes these injuries can cause more pain off the bike than on.
Yes, he did say that… I immediately thought of Lars from the weekend prior saying something less than. So a bit interesting.
What’s also interesting is that Jhett said he had a fragment of bone come loose, then it healed that way.. and the way he mentioned it, to me, it seemed like it was on the maybe articular surface. Said he had to have 2nd surgery & shave it down.
I hope he comes back either at pala or just joins when series when he can. A joy to watch ride.
