We should be comparing him to jett during his last season of 250sx.....people were calling for jett to be unreal on the 450 (and he was), deegan has better 250 numbers, yet people are saying " welcome to the big boy club you're gonna get bullied, you dont know how to ride a 450, he wont come close to the top, he wont have anything for these guys, etc etc"
it makes no sense
Lets be honest here, the first time we saw Jett on a 450 he beat Chase straight up at MXoN twice.
The first time we saw Haiden on a 450 he got 4-6-3 for 3rd overall at WSX.
Yes, Jett was MX and Haiden was SX, but Haiden didn't exactly light the world on fire....
He didn’t set the world on fire in his first SX Futures race either and we have seen what he has done since….so I don’t think that’s a fair barometer of what he is capable of…
Jett was too scared to race a 450 in supercross at 19!!!
*ducks*

He's 27, so he won't ride top ten in the MX2 because he to old to start. But if he's up to it and Red Bull wants it, he can enter the 125cc class in the Dutch Championship and I bet you that he won't make the top 10.
I get this is bait but Jett was younger when he had his perfect season than Haiden is now
I get this is bait #2, but making your 450 debut at MXdN is as ballzy as it gets.
I love this take but there’s no way
I agree he is capable of becoming a spectacular 450 rider, his progression has been overwhelming, I just don't think he is going to come in this year and dominate from the hop like Jett did. I think top 5's and a podium or two are likely for 2026.
More people have done that than race 450 SX as a teenager. Hell, Big Air Tom Covington did it. Yawn.
Lucas had nothing for Jett at Ironman. Lucas has obviously improved since last year though
How many got 1-2 moto scores and won their class?
Dungey
He did it in MX1 too, not MX3
So just one other? Seems like a big deal then!
Outdoor Warrior Coop Webb also moved up in 2015 and got 2nd in a moto…
It’s almost like some of these guys didn’t follow the sport until Jett started racing…remember the 72 win threads…many of these guys in this thread were leading that charge. I think Jett is a phenom but some of his fans are insufferable…

Johnny is on a generational ragebait run this thread 😂
I can’t thank my sponsors and everyone else who supports me.
I mean that's not totally accurate. Herlings said Jett wouldn't have beaten Lucas on that particular day, which was a sand track.. He didn't say he was faster overall.
That’s a good one, and just like Jett, it was an indication of what was to come. Dunge is an all timer.
I stick by my original comment; making your 450 debut at MXdN is as ballzy as it gets, no matter who you are, including Tom Covington.
Haha, that's actually a good name for him - The Outdoor Warrior.
Chipped finger nail takes The Outdoor Warrior out of Outdoors
The Outdoor Warrior won't be competing in the 2026 AMA 450 MX Championship due to a chipped finger nail suffered while buying a large Big Mac Combo at his local McDonalds.
I see your mommy has allowed you some online time….you must have cleared your plate of meatloaf….
I admit I only listened to it once so you are no doubt correct but I probably also put two and two together after I watched a Searle vlog, where they were talking about the season and Herlings was talking Switzerland and all the chains and he said that Lucas was gonna win and that he was easily faster and then he looked at Tommy and goes "He's good man" Which I'll admit doesn't seem like much now I see it written down.. but it was the way he said it haha
Either way I do like this, seemingly new open Herlings haha
I love AMA outdoors and more and more europeans competing over there, however that was not the subject sir. As for the facts on topic: we know Guillod, Paturel, Kullas, Butron, ect are 3-4th tier in Europa and had good results in AMA and for now we do not know how Vialle on the Honda 450 would do in AMA. 🤠
Define “good results”.
Congratulations, but that does not change my mind on Paturel, Guillod, Kullas etc.
Non of the above guys could "ride a dent in a package of warm butter" (Dutch saying) in MXGP anymore and went to USA as Journeymen with a dream to have ridden some races in America.
I learned on this forum that USA and the BIG outdoors is the "hart of Motorcross", so hoovering around (and breaking in) top 10's for them are good results to me.
Post a reply to: Jett and Deegan more alike than different?
