Ken looked smooth and in control though. He looks relaxed. Hoping for a good race and no injuries.

For sure. But looking at sector 8 times that final move was worth about 0.5 seconds which would have put him in 6th for qualifying. Going back to the first qualifier he was 10th, then he hacked the timing loop and jumped up to 5th. Nobody else was doing it.

You think there’s a move or a hack that saves a half second a lap and between the 60 other riders, mechanics, and team managers out there not a single other one decided to try it, during qualifying, when only lap times matter….

Milky must be drinking early today. He can’t accept Ken is fast.

Interesting to hear that Hunter went to practice starts at Thunder Valley yesterday. Love the commitment.

Not a positive development in my opinion. Do guys ever do that? Stepping outside of your routine when the pressure is on doesn't seem like a great idea, especially with something like starts that are equal parts confidence and muscle memory.

I think its common, I wouldn't be surprised if more had done it.

Hill always goes fast at the end of every series-races himself into shape while the field thins out.

Yep, and apparently this year he was injured when the season started.

Cutting down in the turns. Jumping whoops. That's what supercross is all about

Jeff Emig said in a podcast that he would have Jeremy Albrecht go test in fields, parking lots, or anywhere the day before MX to jet and tune components the day before races. I guess that was his routine though.
