I'm a big fan of both of these guys, but let's not act like Kenny has always taken the high road.
To me this is why Tomac is almost the most disappointing rider of the era. The only person who should have beat him was Roczen and vice versa than Kenny had the big injury. Obviously when Stew, RV and Dungey were around early they could but for the bulk of his career Webb, Anderson, Musquin, etc should have only beaten him a handful of times a year. I know 2018 he got hurt round 1 and 2019 he came in with an injury but still. Sexton and Jett are the next era so they almost should beat him and Chase is now the all time mental case.
im a HUGE tomac fan but that vid of him choking in the 250sx title on the honda sorta shows some of his innate weakness compared to the all timers like rv and such. its so weird too. the fastest i think ive ever seen someone go was tomac coming from the back on the gnarliest rutted out drying track at oakland 2018ish, but then other days hes just not comfortable and is nowhere.

You are indeed. Apparently he was already cooked from the initial onslaught of antibiotics during his 7 surgeries following the first arm injury.

To the "why don't they date normal people" question, Gilbert Arenas had a good explanation for that. Professional athletes operate on a much different schedule to regular people, so those that are available for them to spend time with are a limited group that also operate on their same schedule. That's why you have the same women dating basketball players, moto athletes, etc. They travel weekly and are away on weekends when normal people are home and off work, then during the week they are training close to their facilities (some out in the middle of nowhere) for the first few days then hit the road again. The women that are on that schedule are also traveling with the circuit, whether they work for a moto company, are promotional models, or just generally have no "normal" 9-5 job and are brought along by people who want them around.
We're also talking about guys who have 3rd grade/ homeschool educations, they aren't the most socially advanced group. A 20 year old 250 regional guy with leopard print hair isn't going to know what to say to a person studying geology.
