Hunter is great under pressure. This will be a test for Kenny. He is only in this due to Hunters mistakes.

If anyone is thinking the pressure is too much for Hunter. Go back to SMX last year. He Dominated that last moto. Jett only won because it was one of very few times that Tomac faded at the end.

Hunter has had some gifts too, Kenny's DNF, and the race where Hunter landed on him and Kenny could not get his bike started.  It's a 2 way street

Why not? Might as well throw Malcolm's number into the hat here too. Finally got that big W last year and dude looked soooo good in Paris. If he stays healthy, he's proven he can be consistent through a full indoor season.

Malcom will never be much more than he is unless he fully commits to racing. He has the talent to be a consistent top 5 regular podium guy. He talks about fishing a lot which leads me to believe that’s his first love. To be a serious contender, racing has to be your first love. Malcom , needs to drop some weight, get a haircut and take the sport more serious to get there.

How has Malcolm not committed to racing? It's literally his job and he does it very very well. And what the hell does his hair have to do with anything?

I said fully committed, there’s a difference. Yes , he needs a haircut imo.😎

Yeah, you're not getting off the hook with this one. Please explain "fully."

While you're at it, any other personal grooming tips for the rest of the paddock?

Fully committed imo is eat , sleep, drink racing. I don’t see that with Malcom, he’s better than the bottom half of the top 10. With his talent, if he was fully committed by now he would be in the conversations when talking championships. I like him , I just don’t consider him a serious title contender.

You're basing this on some pretty large assumptions. Do you see Malcolm everyday? You know his routine? If you're judging training regimes off of social media and personal interests then Deano just dresses up as old men and goofs off most of the time, Kenny mostly goon rides and occasionally trains one lap at a time, Eli either hunts or just sleeps most of the time since he rarely posts, and Carson Brown should be considered the GOAT.

Kenny doesn't have a DNF. Hunter's 18th in Detroit is the worst finish between the two of them

Mook has done this and his results suffered. His program right now, with a little fishing mixed in, and maybe a weeknight at the Old Towne St. Cloud Show & Shine is peak for him. Big James talked about this after Mookie's kidneys starting eating themselves in the outdoors in 2014ish.

Trust me, I had to look it up to be certain. My memory is so bad, I thought, is he right? LoL

I dont see either of these guys letting the pressure get to them. They've both won championships and big races before. Both have won MXdN races. Kenny's first 450 mx title went down to the last round against Dunge, if I remember right. Now winning the SX title is huge. Especially for Kenny, considering where he is in his career. I think they're both going to step up as they have been already. Ken won Detroit with Hunter making his first huge mistake crashing in the whoops. Hunter stepped up last weekend and responded with a win. Now we have Kenny punching back on Saturday. Really shaping up to be one for the ages here

Kenny didn’t get any gifts and neither did Hunter or anyone else. It’s racing and whoever wins a race or the championship has earned it 💯. I like how this thing has lined up. Both guys have 4 wins and separated by 1 point. It doesn’t get any better than that.👍🏻

I'm seeing a lot of comments too about Kenny "deserves to win the title more than anyone ever." I guess the logic if because of all his injuries and I somewhat understand. But whoever finishes with the most points deserves to win the title. That goes for every title. Its not like Kenny got injured from a bike malfunction. He made a mistake. Its sucks and its quite tragic he was cut down in his prime. Does that make him more deserving of a title?  I'm certainly pulling for both of these guys and will be equally happy to see either of them win

I have to admit I laughed at the "shit emoji" haircut of JT's.

Rumor is Lars & JT both hold hands at the same barber while getting hair cuts.. while watching highlight reels of Jett Lawrence.

I’m making that up, don’t freak out.
