Think KTM will keep risking their MX1 World Championship for a series he has no chance of winning?

The plane ticket is already booked. I bet that they are looking to keep the GP hopes alive and will want to bow out before things get worse injury wise.

The kid is fast as hell, but he pushes things way to hard.

That doesn't work in supercross.

No way, he needs to stay there. The championship is off the table now so the pressure is off. He now needs to regroup and get some experience.

He'll be fine.

They'll just tell him to calm it down a bit, but saying that I personally dont think he riding particularly wild. I've seen numerous Supercross 'stars' case tripples, slide out on corners and get caught on tuff blocks in the past.

He's not anywhere near James Stewarts league when it comes to outrageousness thats for sure.

It would be hard to settle this kid down.

He know's one way, and that way isn't going to work when it comes to supercross.

I would bet Dave is right. The Brass at KTM is going to be making a call to Roger.

Fck that.. It's so refreshing to see a kid that wants something as bad as he does and is willing to put it all out there. Roger just needs to calm him down.. Maybe talk to Mitch about how he calmed RC down.

If he stays, there's a good chance he will end up hurt.
The kid is incredible outdoors, but supercross is a totally different ballgame.

BTW: This kid (who is loaded with talent) is very high strung, and even "the man" can't settle him down at this stage of his young career.

Another Euro bites the dust. Is this part of All Sports deal with Euros that ride Lorettas??..they have to wad themselves up in the SX and destroy their GP euro career.

Man you lot talk some crap.

Ken is riding SX 'to learn', this the whole point, Chad Reed and James Stewart were both out by this time last year and Villopoto broke his leg at St Louis... Grant has possible knee damage after getting shunted by J Alessi this evening. Unfortunately injuries are part of the sport and they can strike at any time. Look at what happened to Morais last year.

Pastrana went through the same thing a little in 2000. And Ken until recently didn't have any SX experience at all.

There's no way, with all the attention he's been getting, a 16 year old is going to slow down! No way. Especially when he's also getting mixed messages about making passes sooner and being more aggressive.

I'm actually amazed at the maturity he has, my god I wish I'd have had his maturity at 16. Having said I think KTM should bring him home. He's done well enough and gained some SX experience.

It is mostly bad starts which results in him having to fight with guy he is faster than and taking different lines than he is used too...= a couple of bad decisions... that is where the inexperiance/ will to win is hurting him. If he was getting good starts I think he would have podiumed both races no problem.. and he wouldn't be crashing.

His speed is there, he knows he can win and wants to bad but the starts and putting him in bad situations.

Tickle fell on the main too... Ken was unlucky with his main event crash.

If he stays and gets healthy he can win one of the last four.... I dont think he will be coming back to race the final couple of rounds now though.. but I bet KTM are a little concerned

And the bigger question... who thinks KTM should pack it up and head home with him.

Come on, they are making some shitty calls if you ask me. Alessi didn't even make the main on that thing and short seems to be going backwards.

I like the brand but poor decisions being made.

How is short going backwards. He is in the same position he would have been in last year if dungey, canard,RV, stewart, and Reed would have been racing. Shorty had a good ride tonight. I think the question is? Is 16 to young. He's fast but doesn't look ready yet.

Didn't Short finish 7th? Three positions ahead of last week?

Tell me, dickwad, which decision, EXACTLY, was the poor decision that KTM made? You brilliant son of a bitch.

seems like in practice he hauls because they figure out the good race line but since hes new he makes poor decisions when passing other riders because hes impatiant and learning. like jumping triples on the inside. awesome rider though and probably the youngest for sure. cool seeing him on the cover of transworld

Seems he is getting a ton of TV time. Keep him in the program if you are KTM.
