That doesn't work in supercross.
They'll just tell him to calm it down a bit, but saying that I personally dont think he riding particularly wild. I've seen numerous Supercross 'stars' case tripples, slide out on corners and get caught on tuff blocks in the past.
He's not anywhere near James Stewarts league when it comes to outrageousness thats for sure.
He know's one way, and that way isn't going to work when it comes to supercross.
I would bet Dave is right. The Brass at KTM is going to be making a call to Roger.
The kid is incredible outdoors, but supercross is a totally different ballgame.
BTW: This kid (who is loaded with talent) is very high strung, and even "the man" can't settle him down at this stage of his young career.
Pit Row
Ken is riding SX 'to learn', this the whole point, Chad Reed and James Stewart were both out by this time last year and Villopoto broke his leg at St Louis... Grant has possible knee damage after getting shunted by J Alessi this evening. Unfortunately injuries are part of the sport and they can strike at any time. Look at what happened to Morais last year.
There's no way, with all the attention he's been getting, a 16 year old is going to slow down! No way. Especially when he's also getting mixed messages about making passes sooner and being more aggressive.
I'm actually amazed at the maturity he has, my god I wish I'd have had his maturity at 16. Having said I think KTM should bring him home. He's done well enough and gained some SX experience.
Hes not going anywhere
His speed is there, he knows he can win and wants to bad but the starts and putting him in bad situations.
Tickle fell on the main too... Ken was unlucky with his main event crash.
If he stays and gets healthy he can win one of the last four.... I dont think he will be coming back to race the final couple of rounds now though.. but I bet KTM are a little concerned
he came over a did what he was supposed too:
- gained a bunch of fans
- proved hes fast as shit
- got his feet wet
nothing left to gain. everything to lose at this point.
Come on, they are making some shitty calls if you ask me. Alessi didn't even make the main on that thing and short seems to be going backwards.
I like the brand but poor decisions being made.
Tell me, dickwad, which decision, EXACTLY, was the poor decision that KTM made? You brilliant son of a bitch.
Let him chase it.
I think it will take time, but he can do it!
